It’s Okay for the Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop- March 2025

Hello fellow crafters and stampers! I am Theresa McEntee-author of Theresa’s Treasures Paper Crafts blog. I am hopping along with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop group today. You can visit super awesome blogs from around the world! The list to follow the hop is at the end of my blog post. Please stop by and see everyone’s projects!

My card is made using the It’s Okay cling stamp set!

The Ink & Inspiration Challenge for March 2025 is Sketch Challenge #108. I was having a hard time with this sketch. I just wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. My card sort of happened rather that being planned. Has that ever happened to you? Ususally I sketch out my ideas first.

One type of card I like is the vintage look. I can’t say I am very good at it. I do admire other peoples vintage projects. So I tried a couple of techniques on this card.

Measurements

  • Crumb Cake cardstock card base: 4 1/4″ x 11″ with a score
    line at 5 1/2″
  • Crumb Cake cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Very Vanilla cardstock inside: 3 3/4″ x 5″ and 1/2″ x 2 3/4″
  • Shaded Spruce cardstock: 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ and scrap to stamp
    2 more bunches of leaves
  • Petunia Pop: 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ and scrap to stamp 2 more butterflies

Supplies

  • Stamp Set: It’s Okay cling stamp (an Online Exclusive!)
  • Dies: none
  • Embossing Folder: Mini Corrugated 3D (another Online Exclusive!)
  • Ink: Shaded Spruce, Petunia Pop, Pecan Pie & Crumb
    Cake Ink Pads
  • Embellishments: Textured Dots
  • Ribbon:Basic Beige 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon
  • Blending Brushes
  • Cut & Emboss Machine
  • Paper Snips
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals & Black Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Mini Glue Dots
  • Wink of Stella Glitter Brush

Instructions

Stamping the Components

  1. Stamp the butterfly onto the 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ Petunia Pop cardstock. Stamp two more butterflies onto the scrap of Petunia Pop cardstock. Fussy cut the two stamped on the scrap paper. You can cut the antennae off of one of the butterflies.
  2. On the butterfly with the antennae remaining, use a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to darken the antennae and body. Then use the Dark Berry Burst Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Marker to make an outline around the inner wings. (see close up photos above)
  3. Fold the fussy-cut butterflies in half. Apply two Mini Black Dimensionals to the center of the butterfly without the antennae. Adhere over the stamped butterfly on the square of Petunia Pop cardstock. Then apply glue to the center of the butterfly with the antennae. Adhere to the butterfly that has the Dimensionals on it. separate the wings for a 3D effect.
  4. Use the edge of the Paper Snips to distress the edges of the Petunia Pop card stock square. Set aside.
  5. Now stamp the leaves in Shaded Spruce Ink onto the two
1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ Shaded Spruce cardstock squares. Then stamp another two bunches of leaves in Shaded Spruce Ink onto the scrap of Shaded Spruce. Fussy cut the two largest leaves from the scrap.
  6. Fold the fussy-cut leaves in half. Apply glue to the center and adhere over the leaves stamped on the square of Shaded Spruce card stock. Bend the sides up for a 3D effect.
  7. Use the edge of the Paper Snips to distress the edges. Set aside.
  8. Use the Petunia Pop Ink to stamp the sentiment “Inhale. Exhale.” onto the strip of Very Vanilla card stock. Cut the ends at a diagonal with your Paper Snips. Set aside.

Stamping the Inside

  1. Stamp the Very Vanilla card stock for the inside as shown below.
  1. Adhere the inside to the inside of the Crumb Cake card stock card base.

Creating the Front Panel

  1. Use the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the panel of Crumb Cake card stock.
  2. With the Stampin’ Blending Brush, apply Pecan Pie Ink to the panel as desired for a vintage effect. Then use the edge of your Paper Snips to distress the edges. It is okay if the paper tears somewhat.
  3. Flatten the Crumb Cake card stock out. Wrap 6″ of the Beige Bordered Ribbon around the middle of the panel. Secure to the back with Mini Glue Dots.

Assembling the Card

  1. Apply Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the corrugated panel. Adhere the panel to the front of the Crumb Cake card stock card base.
  2. Adhere the Shaded Spruce card stock squares to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  3. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the Petunia Pop card stock butterfly to the card front.
  4. Use Mini Glue Dots and a little glue to adhere the bow.
  5. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment.
  6. Finish with the Textured Dots Embellishment! Don’t forget to add Wink of Stella on the leaves and butterfly!

!Voila!

I hope you enjoyed my vintage card for the Sketch #108 Chalenge today. Leave me a comment to let me know what you think.

Seaside Wishes & Beauty of the Deep team up for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop-February 2025

Hello fellow stampers! I am Theresa McEntee-author of Theresa’s Treasures Paper Crafts Blog. I am hopping along with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop today. You can visit super awesome blogs from around the world and get inspiration for your own projects! The list to follow the hop is at the end of my blog post. Please stop by and see everyone’s projects!

The Theme for February 2025

The Ink & Inspiration Challenge for February 2025 is both an image and a color challenge. I was primarily inspired by the beautiful, vibrant colors. The underwater image was intriguing.

My Card

I started to make this card by finding any sea-related stamp sets I had. I came up with Seaside Wishes and Beauty of the Deep. Seaside Wishes is still available as a bundle which includes both the dies and the hybrid embossing folder with the stamp set. The Beauty of the Deep stamp set and dies are sold separately.

Measurements

  • Azure Afternoon cardstock card base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at
    4 1/4″
  • Basic White cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″ (for the background), 2 1/4″ x 3″ (for sentiment), 3 3/4″ x 5″ (for inside of card) and 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ (for inside strip)
  • Calypso Coral cardstock: enough to die cut a large coral from the Beauty of the Deep dies, one large starfish and 3 small starfish from Seaside Wishes stamp and dies, and two stamped coral from Beauty of the Deep.
  • Azure Afternoon cardstock: 3″ x 3″ for the large sand dollar.
  • Coastal Cabana cardstock: 2 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ for two small sand dollars.
  • Summer Splash cardstock: enough to stamp 5 vines of seaweed from the Beauty of the Deep stamp set.
  • Melon Mambo cardstock: enough to cut 3 of the stick-like coral from Beauty of the Deep dies.
  • Cajun Craze cardstock: enough to die cut nine of the small bush-like coral.

Supplies

  • Stamp Sets: Beauty of the Deep, Seaside Wishes and Layering Leaves (sentiment)
  • Dies: Beauty of the Deep, Seaside Wishes and Linked Together (oval for sentiment)
  • Embossing Folder: Seaside Wishes hybrid
  • Ink: Azure Afternoon, Cajun Craze, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, Summer Splash and Versamark
  • Embossing Powder: Clear and White from the Basics Embossing Powder set
  • Embellishments: Two Tone Sparkle Gems and Wink of Stella
  • Misc.: Blending Brushes, Heat Tool, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Paper Trimmer, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Instructions

  1. I started this off by stamping with the colored ink then using Clear Emboss Powder over it for the vines of seaweed, starfish, and stamped coral. I kept making the images until I had several to create with. NOTE: the short fat coral is stamped in Cajun Craze Ink onto Calypso Coral cardstock, then covered in Clear Emboss Powder and heat set.
  2. Next I started to die cut stuff. As stated above, I die cut several of the different types of coral.
  3. To create the sand dollar, I stamped in Versamark and used the White Emboss Powder. I then put the sand dollar through the hybrid embossing folder/dies. With my fingers I made the sand dollars curve more to give them dimension.
  4. The background was created using the Summer Splash, Coastal Cabana and Azure Afternoon Inks with Blending Brushes. I also made a 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ inch strip to go on the inside.
  1. Now I had numerous images to work with so I started placing them on the card base to see how it looked. Play around with your own ideas until you like what you see.
  2. Once I had it figured out, I started gluing it down. The center of the sand dollars have 2 Stampin’ Dimensionals piled on top of each other for more dimension. The sentiment is adhered with a single layer of Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  3. Finish it up with the Wink of Stella and Two Tone Sparkle Gems!

¡Voila!

I hope you enjoyed my interpretation of this color and image challenge. Stop by everyone’s Blog to see more ideas using the same colors and/or image theme. You are at Theresa McEntee-USA right now.

Around the World On Wednesday Blog Hop-November 2023- Fall Color Challenge with Aspen Trees

Hello and welcome! I am Theresa McEntee, creator of Theresa’s Treasures Paper Crafts. Today I have the pleasure of participating in the Blog Hop with Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) organized by Angie McKenzie. On the second Wednesday of each month, the AWOW team put together a thematic hop to give you some inspiration for your own crafting. “Fall colors in Paris” is a Color Challenge for this month’s theme.

My Project for today

I was creating this card in my head over several days. I really love this particular design in the All About Autumn 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper pack. I wanted to used the Aspen Trees Dies too.

I do look at a lot of projects that other talented crafters make. Some of those projects inspire me and help me to create my own project. I hope my project will inspire you!

Project Details

This card was made using a variety of stamps and dies. The Autumn Leaves stamp and Dies come as a bundle (#162186). I have really liked the Aspen Dies that go with the Perched in a Tree stamp set. The Layering Leaves stamp set is great for sentiments.

  3. Adhere the Basic White cardstock to the 1/4″ edge of the All About Autumn DSP.

  1. Stamp the sentiment from the Perched in a Tree stamp set in Cajun Craze Ink onto the Basic White cardstock. Use the the Daffodil Delight Ink to Stamp Off once then stamp the image of the leaves from the Autumn Leaves stamp set around the sentiment.
  2. Adhere the Basic White cardstock to the inside back panel of the Pecan Pie cardstock card base.
  1. Stamp the sentiment ” Thinking of You” from the Layering Leaves stamp set onto the smaller piece of Basic White cardstock. Diecut with the label from the Autumn Leaves Dies.
  2. Use the Daffodil Delight Ink and a Blending Brush to color the small leaves diecut from the white/copper foil design of the All About Autumn DSP.
  1. Place the Silicon mat between the front panel of the card base and the All About Autum DSP layer to avoid getting glue on the inside layer.
  1. Position Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the tree trunks to adhere the sentiment label.
  2. Start to adhere the diecut leaves. Remember that they will show through on the inside.
  1. Adhere the Pecan Pie cardstock for the inside to cover where the sentiment shows through. Then position the leaves on the inside to hide the backside of the leaves from the frontside.
  1. Add a few more leaves to the cardfront taking care that they do not show through to the inside.
  2. Tie a bow with the Copper Ribbon and adhere with a Mini Glue Dot.

Voila! That is it!

Grassy Grove and Horse & Sleigh for the Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop-October 2023

Hello fellow stampers! You are visiting with Theresa McEntee-author of Theresa’s Treasures Paper Crafts. I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop today. There are several of us- you will find the list to follow the hop at the end of my blog post.

The Ink & Inspiration Challenge is both an image and a color challenge. I was inspired by the trees and sun because I felt a feeling of serenity while I was looking at the image. The color combination is just gorgeous! Many of my faves!

How To

  1. Measurements are at the end of the blog.
  2. Start out with the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper on the left. I thought it was a little barren. After looking through all my stamp sets, I found the perfect tree in the Grassy Grove stamp set.
  3. Tear a piece of copy paper to make an uneven edge and use as a mask so that the trees appear further away. Stamp some trees in Starry Sky Ink. The mask also provides an edge to make a snow drift for the trees to be behind. Use a Small Blending Brush with the Starry Sky Ink and a light layer to make a soft snowdrift in front of the trees.
  4. Diecut the sun with the smallest of the Deckled Circle Dies from a piece of full stick sticky paper. Tip: Diecut through 2 or more sticky sheets so that the top one will still have a full stick.
  5. Apply a light layer of Crushed Curry Ink with a Small Blending Brush where you want the sun to be. Stick the sun mask on. Blend on more Crushed Curry Ink, then blend on a little Pumpkin Pie just around the edge.
  6. To make the sun’s rays, use a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock and a Small Blending Brush. Apply a small amount of Crushed Curry Ink to the brush and very gently blend the color along the edge of the scrap of cardstock. Move the scrap a little and repeat until all the rays are done.
  7. Add more trees in Mossy Meadow Ink and Blackberry Bliss Ink.
  8. The sentiment is from the Horse & Sleigh stamp set. Stamp the sentiment for the front of the card in Starry Sky Ink onto a strip of Basic White cardstock measuring 5/8″ x 4 1/4″.
  9. The clouds come from the Trucking Along stamp set and are stamped in Gray Granite Ink.
  1. Use the torn piece of copy paper again to create the inside of the card. Stamp the trees that are in the background with Starry Sky Ink. Then as you move closer, stamp the trees in Mossy Meadow Ink then Blackberry Bliss Ink. Use a Small Blending Brush and a light layer of the Starry Sky Ink to make the snowdrifts.
  2. Stamp the sentiments for the inside of the card in Starry Sky Ink.
  3. Adhere all of the corresponding cardpieces. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the front panel.

Add Bling

Use the 2022-24 In Color Pearls for the Bling by applying 3 of the Starry Sky pearls.

Measurements

This is a 5″ x 7″ card.

  • Starry Sky cardstock card base: 7″ x 10″ scored at 5″.
  • Basic White cardstock: 4″ x 6″ and 5/8″ x 4 1/4″
  • One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper (DSP): 4″ x 6″

  • Cajun Craze cardstock card base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored 4 1/4″
  • Pumpkin Pie cardstock: 4 1/4″x 5 1/2″ (for diecutting the 2nd from the largest Deckled Circles Die)
  • Basic White card stock: 2″ x 3″, 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (for diecutting the 4th from the largest Deckled Circles Die)

Supplies

  • Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks
  • Layering Leaves stamp set for the sentiment
  • Autumn Leaves Dies
  • Ink: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Lemon Lime Twist, Parakeet Party, Granny Apple Green, Pecan Pie and Early Espresso
  • Small Blending Brushes (at least 2 packs)
  • Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack
  • Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots

Instructions

Blending the Flower Petals

  1. Diecut the Deckled Circle from the Basic White cardstock.
  2. Secure it to a piece of scrap paper with removable adhesive.
  3. Secure the scrap paper to the work space with tape.
  4. Lay the #1 Decorative Mask over your Deckled Circle cardpiece as desired. Take note of where the notch along the edge of the mask is. Use a pen to draw a line along that edge to help with placement of the next masks.
  5. Secure the Decorative Mask with some removable tape (sticky note tape).
  6. Use a Small Blending Brush and the Daffodil Delight Ink to apply ink along the tips of the flower petals. You can make this as light or as dark as you wish. See photo above on left.
  7. Now use another Small Blending Brush and the Cajun Craze Ink. Apply a layer of ink around the center circle.
  8. Lastly blend in Pumpkin Pie Ink with a third blending brush to complete the flower petals.
  9. Carefully remove the mask without disturbing the cardpiece.

Blending the Leaves

  1. Lay the #2 mask with the leaves by matching up the notch on the edge of the mask with the mark you made on the scrap paper.
  2. Secure the mask with removable tape.
  3. Use a clean Small Blending Brush to apply the Lemon Lime Twist Ink to the leaves first. Then apply the Parakeet Party Ink leaving a bit of the Lemon Lime Twist showing on the upper edge of each leaf.
  4. Finish the leaf by blending in some of Granny Apple Green Ink along the bottom edge of each leaf.
  5. Carefully remove the mask.

Blending the Center of the Flower

  1. The last 2 masks will complete the center of the flower.
  2. Lay mask # 3 over the card piece matching the notch. Secure it with the removable tape.
  3. Use a Small Blending Brush to apply the Pecan Pie Ink.
  4. Carefully remove mask #3.
  5. Lay mask #4 over the card piece, matching the notch and securing it to the scrap paper.
  6. Apply Early Espresso Ink.
  7. Remove the mask.
  8. Tip: Be sure to keep the masks away from your cardpieces as they will have residual ink on them. Rinse them in water. Use a mild soap if needed.

Blending the Flower for the Inside

  1. Repeat the above process to blend on a small flower in the lower right-hand corner of the Basic White cardstock for the inside of the card.
  2. Adhere this piece to the inside of the Cajun Craze cardstock card base.

Assemble the Card

  1. Use the Deckled Circles Die to diecut from the Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
  2. Adhere the Basic White cardstock card piece with the flowers on it to the Pumpkin Pie cardstock circle.
  3. Position the circles on the front of the Cajun Craze cardstock card base and trim any excess that is on the left border.
  4. Adhere this to the card base.
  5. Use Early Espresso Ink and the “Hello” sentiment from the Layering Leaves stamp set to stamp onto the 2″ x 3″ Basic White cardstock. Diecut with the label die from the Autumn Leaves Dies. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment to the card front.
  6. Tie a bow with the Burlap Ribbon and adhere to the card front with a few Mini Glue Dots.
  7. Bling! Apply the Rustic Metallic Dots as desired.

Translucent Florals for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop-September 2023

Hello fellow stampers! You are visiting with Theresa McEntee-author of Theresa’s Treasures Paper Crafts. I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop today. There are several of us- you will find the list to follow the hop at the end of my blog post. Please stop by and visit everyone!

The Ink & Inspiration Challenge this month is both an sketch & a color challenge. I was inspired by the sketch primarily because I was already playing with the Translucent Florals Bundle and I could envision using the images in the sketch. This bundle can be found in the Stampin’ Up! 2023 Holiday Mini Catalog.

And this bundle has a coordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP) only available in the Online Exclusives. The Delightful Floral DSP has vibrant colors and gorgeous designs. I also couldn’t wait to try out the Online Exclusive Gold Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper!

These colors & designs just make me smile. I love flowers and plants. My house is filled with plants and my front yard is filled with flowers!

The Gold Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper was so easy to use. Stamping the flowers on vellum cardstock was a little tricky. Using the Heat Tool to help set the ink helped. Also using tweezers to move the flowers helped me avoid getting ink on my fingers, too much! Later I learned a Hot Tip from my Accountability Partner, Christy Gridley, that using Clear Emboss Powder over the ink makes it so you won’t get the ink all over the place.

For the inside, I stamped the images on Basic White cardstock. Much easier!

If you would like more information on how to make this card for yourself, let me know in the comments.

Kylie & Bruno Bertucci’s Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop-September 2023- Abundant Beauty Thank You Card

Hello! Welcome to the Kylie & Bruno Bertucci Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for September 2023. I’m Theresa with Theresa’s Treasures Paper Crafts & I have an Abundant Beauty Thank You card today. Abundant Beauty is a set of Decorative Masks (stencils). For this card I used the leaf mask.

I am so glad you are joining me! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. We are taking part in training to help us build a successful Stampin’ Up! business. My goal is to participate in the monthly Blog Hop to help me make my customer Thank You cards. When you place an order with me, I will send one of the cards to you!

This blog hop is full of ideas and creative inspiration! Be sure to visit everyone’s blog by clicking on the links at the end of my post.

Measurements

  • Colored card stock: Copper Clay, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze: 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″
  • Daffodil Delight cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Very Vanilla cardstock: 3 3/4″ x 5″ (two)
  • Very Vanilla cardstock strip: 3/4″ x 5″ (for inside)
  • Very Vanilla cardstock for sentiment: 2 1/4″ x 3″

Supplies

  • Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks
  • Autumn Leaves Bundle (stamp & dies)
  • Ink: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Copper Clay and Cajun Craze
  • Blending Brushes
  • Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack: Crumb Cake
  • Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots

Instructions

  1. Secure one of the Very Vanilla cardstock 4″ x 5 1/4″ panels to a piece of scrap paper with a repositionable adhesive.
  2. Secure the leaf mask over top with sticky note tape.
  3. Gently blend the Daffodil Delight Ink first. Start in the middle with a small circular motion. Or start around the edge. You will then blend progressively darker ink away from the Daffodil Delight Ink.
  4. Blend in the Pumpkin Pie Ink, then Copper Clay Ink and finally Cajun Craze Ink.
  5. Carefully remove the mask and bring to the sink to rinse off with water before using it again.
  6. Secure the 3/4″ x 5″ strip to the scrap paper. Secure the leaf mask over top. Blend with the Blending Brushes as you did before, but use a lighter touch.
  7. Use the Copper Clay Ink to stamp the sentiment “I’m Thankful” on the 2 1/4″ x 3″ Very Vanilla cardstock.
  8. Stamp the “For all you do” in Pumpkin Pie Ink on the very edge of the same Very Vanilla cardstock. Use your trimmer to cut a thin strip with the sentiment on it.
  9. Die cut the “I’m Thankful” sentiment with the Autumn Leaves Dies.
  10. Adhere the layers to the card front.
  11. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment.
  12. Make a bow with the Crumb Cake Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack.
  13. Add some Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots.

Paper Florist Dies for the Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop-August 2023

Hello fellow stampers! You are visiting with Theresa McEntee-author of Theresa’s Treasures Paper Crafts. I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop today. There are several of us- you will find the list to follow the hop at the end of my blog post.

The Ink & Inspiration Challenge is both an image and a color challenge. I was inspired by the image because I had been wanting to use the Paper Florist Dies. These dies do not have a corresponding stamp set but they are loads of fun on their own!

The colors were also very inspirational. I love flowers. The combination of colors for this challenge brought to mind several different types of flowers I am fond of. Tiger Lillies and roses are two of them.

My goal was to make the flowers as real as possible. I tried several ways to color the flowers after diecutting them. I used Blending Brushes, Sponge Daubers and Stampin’ Write Markers. You may enjoy trying to make flowers you like!

The inside of the card needed a pretty flower. The Artistically Inked stamp set had a rose that I liked. I stamped it in Flirty Flamingo Ink. The leaves are stamped in Granny Apple Green Ink and Garden Green Ink. (I may have overdone the leaves! Lol!)

I found that making the flowers was very relaxing. It really did not take long to diecut the pieces. I hope you give the Paper Florist Dies a go!
