Happy Thanksgiving!

I wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving today! This year is a little different for sure! I hope you are able to visit virtually with your friends and family. My family is getting together on Zoom. We are quite the crowd as I am the oldest of eight!

I made this card for the Cardz4guyz Challenge # 258- Thank You/Thanksgiving. I just love the Cajun Craze card stock from Stampin’ Up!® for my fall projects. The Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper just looks so handsome next to the Cajun Craze card stock.

The wreath is made using the Gold Hoop Embellishment with some of the Forever Gold Laser-cut leaves for the background. The Very Vanilla foiled leaves are cut from the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper. The Gold Twine from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack compliments the copper Acorn Trinkets. The sentiment is from a retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Pleasant Pheasants and is stamped in Cajun Craze ink.

Please have a nice day of Thanks. Remember to be thankful for all the joy you bring to the world. You are a very special and unique person.

Have a most wonderful day and a crafty week! Stop by Cardz4guyz.blogspot.com and see everyone’s cards for Challenge #258-Thank You/Thanksgiving.

Snowflake Wishes #Simplestamping Christmas Card

It is Thanksgiving in a few days and like many we will not be visiting family as usual. Aside from the Thanksgiving festivities we will still try to have, I think it would be fun to make cards as a family. Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Wishes has many different snowflakes which makes this wonderful Christmas card simple and fun to stamp.

I love the colors of blue that Stampin’ Up! has! Pacific Point, Coastal Cabana and Pool Party are the colors on this wintery card.

Measurements: Whisper White Card Stock (CS): the card base, 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches with a score line at 4 1/4 inches, and a 3 3/4 x 5 inch panel; Pacific Point CS: 4 x 5 1/4 inches.

The first step is to stamp a sentiment in Pacific Point ink on the lower right hand side. I chose this fancy “Merry Christmas” from the Tag Buffet stamp set. Note: when using the Photopolymer Stamps, the see-through stamps, you need a little padding to get a good image. The Stampin’ Pierce Mat works well. If you don’t have one try your Stampin’ Up! Catalog.

I decided on 4 different snowflakes ranging in size from large to small. The larger snowflake is stamped in Coastal Cabana ink slightly above the level of the sentiment.

The snowflake that is the next size smaller is Stamped Off using the Pool Party ink. Stamping Off: this is a technique whereby you first stamp onto a scrap of paper, then on your project. This allows you to stamp the image a shade lighter.

I decided I needed another large snowflake in the Coastal Cabana ink to balance the design by stamping in the lower right-hand corner.

Next I added several slightly smaller snowflakes in the Pool Party ink at full strength.

The smallest snowflake is Stamped Off in Pacific Point ink.

Here is the completed card front.

Now to stamp the inside of the card. Start with the larger snowflake in the Coastal Cabana ink in the lower right-hand corner of the 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch Whisper White CS card base.

Stamp Off to add the next size smaller snowflake in Pool Party ink. The next smaller snowflake after that is stamped in Pool Party ink at full strength.

The smallest snowflake is Stamped Off in Pacific Point ink.

This is the completed inside of the Whisper White CS card base.

Fold the card base at the 4 1/4 inch score line and press with the Bone Folder to get a crisp fold. Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Pacific Point CS to the front of the Whisper White CS card base. Adhere the stamped snowflake card piece to the Pacific Point CS.

You could leave the card as is. I have a passion for Bling! which is basically anything shiny and sparkly. I added the Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the center of most of the snowflakes. The Take Your Pick Tool makes transferring the Rhinestones to your card very easy.

Viola! You have a dazzling festive Christmas card to send off to someone! My goal was to make 40 Christmas cards by Thanksgiving. I am only halfway there, but I plan to keep at it in the next couple of days. Then I plan to enlist my husband’s help to address them all!

Super Simple Gatefold Fun Fold with Poinsettia Petals for an Elegant Christmas Card

Hello and Happy Friday! This month is flying by! I was looking forward to visiting my family for Thanksgiving, but they have a shelter in place order. Needless to say, none of use is getting together in person. We might try meeting on Zoom. Looking on the bright side- I can stay home and make more Christmas cards!

The card for today’s Fun Fold Friday is called a Gate Fold Card. The band with the poinsettia on it is a Belly Band. This elegant holiday card is super simple to make so you can send one to your friends & family to spread the Holiday Cheer.

Measurements: Very Vanilla Card Stock (CS) card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 2 1/8 and 6 3/8 inches; Very Vanilla CS: 5 x 5 inch for stamping, a 2 inch circle and 1 3/4 x 2 3/4 inches; Red Velvet Paper: 2 x 3 inches and 1 1/2 x 9 1/8 inches; and the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper (DSP): 2 x 5 3/8 inches. You will also need 9 1/8 inches of the Vanilla open weave ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.

Stamping: Starting with the Memento Black ink, stamp one of the complete poinsettias, two berry sprigs and three leaves onto the 5 x 5 inch Very Vanilla CS. Use the Real Red ink to stamp the sentiment “May Magic & Wonder bloom this holiday” onto the 1 3/4 x 2 3/4 inch Very Vanilla CS.

I used the Stampin Blends Alcohol Markers to color the images. If you have not tried them yet, I highly recommend them. I have tried other alcohol markers that are more expensive and have not gotten results as good as I have with the Stampin’ Blends. The colors for this card are: Light & Dark Real Red, Dark Cherry Cobbler, Light & Dark Mango Melody, Light & Dark Old Olive and Dark Mossy Meadow. I will show you how I got the look I did, but this is just one way. There are many other ways to color with the Blends. To start off, I colored the leaves completely with the Light Old Olive.

I added some shading with the Dark Old Olive followed by the Dark Mossy Meadow. You could go over the leaf again with the Light Old Olive to blend everything together.

The berry sprigs were colored first with Light Real Red, then Dark Real Red followed by a little Dark Cherry Cobbler. For the poinsettia, I outlined the top layer of petals with the Dark Cherry Cobbler to try and achieve a 3D look. Next I colored the entire poinsettia with the Light Real Red.

I blended the Cherry Cobbler outline into the Light Real Red with the Dark Real Red. To add a finishing touch, I added a little more shadow with the Dark Cherry Cobbler. Note: The best part of coloring with the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers is experimenting with them yourself to see what kind of look you get.

Cut all the images out either by Fussy Cutting with your Paper Snips or using the coordinating Poinsettia Dies with the Stamp and Cut Machine. Fold the Very Vanilla card base with the Bone Folder to get crisp folds.

Adhere the Poinsettia Place DSP to the front flaps. Adhere the 2 x 3 inch Red Velvet to the inside. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment card piece on top of the Red Velvet.

Add the berry sprigs. Tip: For very delicate items I use a tweezers to position the item after first applying a wee bit of glue.

Wrap the 1 1/2 x 9 1/8 inch Red Velvet Paper around the card so that it is snug but not tight. You want it to slide off easily, but not fall off. Also wrap the ribbon around. I did not need to glue the ribbon to the Red Velvet except where I attached the ends of the Belly Band in the front. Tip: I recommend using a strong adhesive to attach the ends of the Belly Band. Examples of a strong adhesive are the Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the Tear & Tape. Both can be found in the 2020-21 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.

Adhere the poinsettia leaves to the Very Vanilla 2 inch circle. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the poinsettia.

Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the Very Vanilla CS Circle to the front of the Belly Band, covering the ends of the Belly Band. Add some Bling! with the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Tip: I use the Take Your Pick Tool to transfer the rhinestones to the card.

Viola! That is all there is to it! This card is a really fun way to share the Holiday Cheer with a loved one!

Stampin’ Up!® Snowflake Wishes Watercolor Wash Notecards & Gift Box #simplestamping

Well, Thanksgiving is almost here and it is time to start thinking about Holiday Gifts. These festive Snowflake notecards and cheerful coordinating box will make a great handmade gift! This is a #SimpleStamping project because it is made primarily with Stamps, Ink and Paper. The only other tool you need is a Water Painter.

Although these cards look difficult, they are actually fairly simple. The variety of sentiments in the Snowflake Wishes stamp set makes this a great gift. There are lots of photos to easily guide you through this surprisingly simple project.

The Snowflake Wishes stamp set is rich with snowflake images. I am only going to use 5 of them.

The first step is to make the backgrounds. You will cut one sheet of the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper at 4 3/4 inches. Next cut the 4 3/4 x 5 inch piece at 3 1/4 inches. This will give you 3 different backgrounds for 3 different notecards.

Watercolor Wash Background: Squeeze your Balmy Blue ink pad so some of the ink gets on the inside of the top. Using the Water Painter, apply a slight puddle of water on the 3 1/4 x 4 3/4 inch Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. You want the puddle to be in the center, not touching the edge of the card piece. Note: I am using an old Aquapainter, but the new Water Painters can be found in the 2020-21 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog on page 146, item #151298.

Take up some of the Balmy Blue ink with the Water Painter and apply it to the puddle of water on the Watercolor Paper. Move the ink and water around until you like the shape of the Watercolor Wash. If you desire a more intense color you could put a drop of the Balmy Blue Ink Refill on the top lid of the stamp pad.

Now for a little trick to make a creative effect. Shake some coarse sea salt onto the puddle of water. You will see that the salt crystals will take up some of the water and ink right away. Let this dry completely.

Repeat the above procedure using the 2 1/4 x 5 inch piece of the Watercolor Paper and Pacific Point ink.

The remaining 1 3/4 x 4 3/4 inch Watercolor Paper piece is done in Pool Party ink.

For the next step you will need to open up a package of Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes. These are available in the 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog on page 153, item #131527. Note: these notecards also come in Very Vanilla #144236.

While the backgrounds dry, we can stamp the envelopes. This envelope is done in the Balmy Blue ink. The larger snowflake is stamped at full strength. The next snowflake is Stamped Off first.

I added a smaller snowflake at full strength to complete the front of the envelope. Next I stamped several snowflakes on the back flap of the envelope. Note: Be mindful of leaving space for someone to write an address and return address, and place a postage stamp.

The next envelope only uses 2 snowflake stamps and is stamped in Pacific Point ink. Again, stamp on the front and the back flap of the envelope.

The last envelope is stamped in Pool Party ink. I stamped the larger snowflake, one on top of the other, to make it look more full. The remainder are smaller snowflakes stamped on the envelope front and flap.

In order to give the backgrounds a little more time to dry, we will stamp the sentiments. Make 2 of the 3/4 x 4 inch Whisper White cardstock strips with the sentiment “Snowflake wishes for a Merry Christmas.” Make one of the “May your season sparkle” on 1 1/4 x 2 1/2 inch Whisper White cardstock.

Trim both ends of one of the “Snowflake wishes…” strips to make a banner end. Tip: Make a cut in the middle, then from one corner to the middle on each side to have the banner look even every time.

When the backgrounds have dried completely, brush the salt off of the card piece. Each will have a different look. The most noticeable effect is on the Pacific Point color. You can see that the ink is darker around where the salt crystal was. I just love this effect!

We will start with the Balmy Blue background. Stamp the sentiment “Thank you Snow much” in Pacific Point ink onto the lower right-hand corner. Then use the Balmy Blue ink to stamp the larger snowflake, followed by the medium snowflake and finally the smallest snowflake.

Now we will stamp on the Pacific Point ink background. Using Pacific Point ink, stamp the larger snowflake on the left-hand side followed by the group of snowflakes.

For the Pool Party ink background, I stamped one image on top of the other for the larger snowflake in Pool Party ink.

Now stamp the medium sized snowflake and finally the smaller snowflake in Pool Party ink.

Now we will put everything together.

Complete the Balmy Blue card by adhering the stamped card piece to the front of one of the notecards.

Adhere the background done in Pacific Point ink to the front of the notecard. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the “Snowflake Wishes…” sentiment with the banner ends onto the card front.

Adhere the Pool Party background to the front of a notecard. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the “May your season…” sentiment to the card front.

Now that we have all the awesome notecards done, let’s create a nice box for them to go in. The Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes on page 152 of the 2020-21 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog are perfect for these notecards. Lay the box flat with the matte surface on top. Stamp the largest snowflake in Balmy Blue ink.

Follow with the Pool Party ink and a medium snowflake. Finish with a small snowflake in Pacific Point ink.

Assemble the box and add the second “Snowflake wishes….” sentiment to the front.

Match the envelopes to the notecards and place in the Mini Paper Pumpkin Box.

Viola! You have a cheerful set of Holiday cards in a lovely box to give to someone special.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I am having a “Black Friday” ordering special. For any order of $35 or more between November 22 to November 27, 2020- you will receive a package of Rhinestone Basic Jewels for free from me! I really value your business and appreciate your support!

Stampin’ Up!®- Triple Stamping Fun with Floral Essence & Forever Fern

This fun fall card is made with the Triple Stamping Technique which I first learned from my stamping friend Karen Bouchikas about 8 years ago. This card is CASE’d from one of the first cards I ever made. It is super easy and looks super complicated! And- this card is so versatile!

Measurements: Cajun Craze Card Stock (CS): 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches with a score line at 4 1/4 inches; Very Vanilla CS: two 4 x 5 1/4 inches, 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches and 2 x 3 1/4 inches; Pumpkin Pie CS: 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches; and Mango Melody CS: 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 inches. You will also need 5 inches of the Vanilla Open Weave Ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack in the 2020-21 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.

Stampin’ UP!® ink colors: Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze and Mango Melody

Take the 3 different sizes of Very Vanilla CS and layer them. You can hold them in place with a wee bit of repositional adhesive tape. We are using the Photopolymer stamps so you will need the Stampin’ Pierce mat or a catalog.

Stamp the large solid flower in the Floral Essence Stamp Set in Cajun Craze ink onto the righthand side in the middle. Next stamp the small solid flower in the upper left and lower left corners. Do not worry about the blank spots on the flowers near the edges of the layers. This will not be visible later.

Using the Mango Melody ink and the large bunch of leaves in the Forever Greenery Stamp Set, Stamp Off first, then stamp onto the card pieces. There will be a ribbon at the level of the large solid flower, so you may stamp the leaves so the ends of the stems will be covered by the ribbon. Stamp Off the smaller bunch of leaves using the Daffodil Delight ink before stamping on your card pieces. Fill in the open spaces with the smaller leaves.

Separate the three card pieces. Leave the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Very Vanilla CS piece. Stamp another large solid flower in the Cajun Craze ink in the middle.

Carefully cut the large solid flower out of the center. Just cut in the center so you can use this piece for the final card. Fussy cut the flower.

Stamp the centers of the flowers in Daffodil Delight ink.

Stamp Off the large bunch of leaves using the Mango Melody ink and stamp the righthand border of the second 4 x 5 1/4 inch Very Vanilla CS. Next Stamp Off the smaller bunch of leaves with the Daffodil Delight ink and stamp the borders of the large bunch of leaves. This is the inside of the card.

Adhere the inside card piece to the inside of the Cajun Craze CS card base. Use your Bone Folder to make a crisp fold at the 4 1/4 inch score line on the Cajun Craze CS card base.

Adhere the smaller card pieces to the corresponding colored card stock.

Adhere the Very Vanilla Open Weave Ribbon to the back of the right side of the smaller layer, the Mango Melody card piece, with a Mini Glue Dot.

Adhere the Mango Melody CS card piece with the ribbon on it, to the Pumpkin Pie CS layer, and finally to the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Very Vanilla CS card piece. Bring the ribbon over the the left hand side.

Wrap the ribbon around to the back of the left hand side and adhere it with a Mini Glue Dot.

Now adhere all the layers to the front of the Cajun Craze CS card base.

We are going to add a little dimension by using the Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the flower we cut out. Adhere this flower over the stamped flower.

Viola! Now you have made a super beautiful fall card! You can add any sentiment you want- Happy Thanksgiving, Thanks, Happy Birthday, I Love You, or any other sentiment you would like to send!

I am so grateful you have stopped by today. Please let me know what you think about this card. I appreciate your comments.

Have a most wonderful Friday! Try to get some crafting done this weekend. You will be surprised how uplifting crafting can be! Going back to work on Monday may not seem as bad.

Stampin’ Up!® Floral Essence for Thanksgiving Spotlight Note Card

Hello fellow stampers and crafters! Today I have a darling little note card made with the versatile Floral Essence Stampin’ Up! stamp set using the Spotlight Technique. These note cards are 4 x 4 inches when complete and could be used at place settings for the Thanksgiving meal (assuming that is possible this year!). Note: This card is CASE’d from Shannon West’s presentation during our recent Onstage Convention.

I am using two exceptional stamp sets: Floral Essence and A Wish For Everything. Why are they exceptional? There are endless possibilities for the beginner stamper to use the flowers in the Floral Essence stamp set, depending on the color of ink and paper chosen. Purple, pink, and yellow for Spring; bolder brighter colors for Summer; and red/green or blue/white for Winter. The colors chosen for today’s card are Fall colors. The words in the “A Wish For Everything” cover, well, just about everything a beginner would need.

Measurements: Cinnamon Cider Card Stock (CS): 4 x 8 inches with a score line at 4 inches; Very Vanilla CS: 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches, 2 3/4 x 3 7/8 inches and 1 x 4 inches; In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (DSP): 3 7/8 x 3 7/8 inches.

You will also need: Cinnamon Cider, Bumblebee and Just Jade ink, Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels, the Classic Label Punch, the 2-inch Circle Punch and the Metallic Ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo pack. All products are found in the 2020-21 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog except the Metallic Ribbon which is on page 45 of the 2020 Stampin’ UP!® Aug-Dec Mini Catalog.

Let’s get stamping!

Use the Cinnamon Cider ink to stamp the largest solid flower slightly right of center. Be mindful of the upper border of the flower as you want it to be 1/4 inch from the top. Use the Bumblebee ink to stamp the smaller solid flower on either side as shown. Tip: The Floral Essence stamps are Photopolymer, or see-through stamps. You get the best image if you stamp on something with a little “give” to it. I am using the Stampin’ Pierce mat, covered in white scrap paper. You may also try using your catalog.

Use the Bumblebee ink to stamp the center of the large solid flower. There is a different center stamp for the smaller solid flower. Stamping off Technique: stamp once onto scrap paper before stamping the center of the smaller solid flower onto your card. This will result in the center of the smaller solid flower being a little lighter than the flower itself.

Stamp the stems in Just Jade ink. I did turn the stamp upside down to stamp the stem for the Bumblebee flower to the left. I stamped twice to get the stem for the Bumblebee flower on the right. Add the leaves.

You may fill in the open space by stamping a few leaves using the single leaf stamp.

Use the Cinnamon Cider ink to stamp a large solid flower off to the right side of the 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 inch Very Vanilla CS. This will be the inside of your card, so leave a little space for writing. While you have the Cinnamon Cider handy, stamp the sentiment “Happy Thanksgiving” onto the 1 x 4 inch Very Vanilla CS strip. Note: The sentiment is a Red Rubber stamp. You do not need the extra padding. The image for the red rubber comes out with more clarity when stamped on a hard surface. I just forgot to take the Stampin’ Pierce Mat away.

With Bumblebee ink stamp two more small solid flowers on the inside of the card. Stamp the center of the Cinnamon Cider flower. When stamping the center for the Bumblebee flowers remember to stamp off first. Add the stems and leaves in Just Jade ink.

Spotlight Technique: Use the 2 inch circle punch to punch out the Cinnamon Cider flower. I turned my card 180 degrees and put the punch upside down on the craft table so that I could see what I was punching. I wanted the edge of the circle to be 1/4 inch down from the top of the card piece.

Here is the end result.

Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the Metallic Ribbon to the back of the card piece you just punched.

Use a Bone Folder to fold the 4 x 8 inch Cinnamon Cider CS card base at the 4 inch score line. The Bone Folder makes a nice crisp fold. Adhere the inside panel of your card.

Adhere the 3 7/8 x 3 7/8 inch In Good Taste DSP to the card front. Now adhere the punched out card piece.

Apply Stampin’ Dimensionals or strips of the Foam Adhesive Sheets and adhere the punched out circle to the card front to complete the Spotlight Technique. Tip: I have been using the Foam Adhesive Sheets in place of the Stampin’ Dimensionals. I have had a joint fusion in my right index finger. The thumb and index finger no longer come together so it makes peeling off the small hexagonal backing of the Stampin’ Dimensionals a challenge. I found that if I cut the Foam Adhesive Sheets into 1/4 inch strips, I can use those which make peeling the backing off a bit easier.

Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow, and a Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere the sentiment. This little note card looks great, but I think we need some Bling!

The Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels match perfectly! That is one remarkable point regarding Stampin’ Up! products-everything matches! Each color of card stock has coordinating ink. Some colors also have matching ribbon or embellishments! In this case the Cinnamon Cider coordinates with the Metallic Ribbon, the DSP, the Cinnamon Cider ink and the Champagne Rhinestones! Anyhow, I digress. The Take Your Pick tool helps to easily transfer the tiny rhinestones to your card.

Viola! You have a darling little note card to wish someone a Happy Thanksgiving!

Kylie’s Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop- November 2020-So Sentimental

Thank you for joining me for our Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Monthly Team Blog Hop! I am so happy that you could join us today for this blog hop to get ideas and creative inspiration. We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin’ Up!® business and reach some goals we have set. I really appreciate your support.

You may be starting here at Theresa’s Treasures or have come from another blog – either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today. Enjoy!

The theme for the cards today is: Thank You. I have many customers who support me and I like to send out a Thank You card every once in awhile. The following set of cards is for my awesome customers.

I must admit that I was not a fan of any plaid. However, I really like the plaid in the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper. I used the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder to make the Whisper White card stock background.

Tip for arthritic hands: I have a difficult time with the Stampin’ Dimensionals due to mobility problems from arthritic changes in my fingers. I found that if I cut the Foam Adhesive Sheets into 1/4 inch strips I can use them on the back of labels and such. This is so much easier to peel off than those hexagonal Dimensionals!

The sentiment “I Can’t Thank You Enough” is from the So Sentimental stamp set. The dies are from Stitched So Sweetly. I hand-colored the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to match the color of the card stock. Be sure to heat set, otherwise you get very inky fingers!

I have the cards open in two different ways to add variety to the Thank You notes.

“I can’t thank you enough” for stopping by today.

There is an amazing line up of Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators from around the world that are working hard to learn how to be even more successful. I know you are going to love seeing all the amazing projects today. Be sure you comment and show them some love so they keep creating and sharing fantastic ideas for us all.

Gather Together for Friday’s Fun Fold

The Gather Together stamp set in the 2020 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog is so versatile. Today’s Fun Fold is yet another way to use the set for a nice Autumn card.

I saw this Fun Fold on a YouTube from Karen Titus. Her card was a Christmas one, but I wanted to make a Thanksgiving-style card. The large sentiments are from the Ornate Thanks stamp set in the 2020-21 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. If you plan on making a lot of thank you cards, getting the Ornate Thanks set is the way to go!

A Technique I will be sharing today is Sponging with the Sponge Dauber. Sponging is how I was able to add some color to the leaves and pumpkins!

Measurements: Very Vanilla Card Stock (CS): 4 1/4 x 11 inches with a score line at 5 1/2 inches, two at 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches, 1 3/4 x 4 inches, 1 3/4 x 3 inches and 3 x 6 inches; Cajun Craze CS: two at 2 3/4 x 4 1/2 inches; and Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper: two at 3/4 x 4 inches.

Usually we stamp first. But for today’s card, se have to do a little cutting. Cut 1 inch past the 5 1/2 inch score line on the 4 1/4 x 11 inch Very Vanilla CS, then cut 1 inch off the bottom of the piece you just cut off.

Lay the 1 x 4 1/4 inch Very Vanilla piece on the bottom of the back of the card front, and make a pencil mark near the upper border. Make a pencil mark on the bottom border of the piece that folds down. The two pencil marks on each side will guide you where to stamp.

Use the Terracotta Tile ink and the sentiments from the Ornate Thanks stamp set to stamp between the pencil marks and along the side borders. Remember to use the Stampin’ Pierce Mat or a catalog to stamp on when stamping with the Photopolymer Stamps.

Use the Terracotta Tile ink to stamp the sentiment “May this season bring you smiles…” in the center of one of the 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch Very Vanilla CS. Stamp the wheat on the bottom. Both of these stamps are in the Gather Together stamp set.

Also from the Gather Together stamp set is the sentiment “Gather Together” which you will stamp in Cajun Craze ink onto the 1 3/4 x 4 inch Very Vanilla CS. Punch the sentiment out with the Label Me Fancy Punch.

Using the Cajun Craze ink, stamp the two different pumpkin stamps onto the 1 3/4 x 3 inch Very Vanilla CS. Stamp two of the Maple Leaves in Cajun Craze ink onto the 3 x 6 inch Very Vanilla CS.

Technique: to use the Sponge Dauber, gently tap the white foam tip onto the Cajun Craze ink. Rub the ink off in small circles onto a scrap paper. Apply a light layer to the Maple Leaf.

Gradually add more ink until you are satisfied with the look. Follow the same procedure for coloring the pumpkins.

Fussy cut the leaves and pumpkins with your Paper Snips, or if you have the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine along with the Gathered Leaves Dies, you can cut the leaves and pumpkins out that way.

Adhere the inner sentiment and wheat sheaf to one of the 2 3/4 x 4 1/2 inch Cajun Craze CS card pieces.

Stampin’ Up!® Perfectly Plaid Christmas Card

Hello! Happy November! I can’t believe how fast this year is going for me! I am showing a Christmas card today because I am worried I will not be able to create and send all of my Christmas cards on time. It is good to get started early. However, I am not forgetting Thanksgiving. I plan to do a few Thanksgiving cards in the blogs over the next few weeks.

This is a fun and simple Christmas card using the Perfectly Plaid stamp set, the Pine Tree Punch and the ‘Tis The Season Designer Series Paper (DSP). You will find the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and Pine Tree Punch in the 2020-21 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. The ‘Tis The Season DSP is in the 2020 Stampin’ Up! August-December Mini Catalog. Let’s get started!

Measurements: Whisper White Card Stock (CS): 4 1/4 x 11 inches with a score line at 5 1/2 inches and 2 1/4 x 4 inches; Real Red CS: 4 x 5 1/4 inches; and ‘Tis The Season DSP 2 x 5 1/4 inches and 4 different designs at 2 1/4 ix 6 inches.

Using Garden Green ink, stamp the sentiment “Merry Christmas” on the 2 1/4 x 4 inch Whisper White CS leaving space around the sentiment so you can punch it out. Stamp the sentiment “Hoping that your busy year…” on the inside of the 4 1/4 x 11 inch Whisper White CS card base.

Use the Everyday Label Punch to punch out the sentiment “Merry Christmas”. Set aside.

Get together the Pine Tree Punch and the 4 ‘Tis The Season DSP strips that measure 2 1/4 x 6 inches.

Punch out one Pine Tree from each strip of ‘Tis The Season DSP.

Adhere the 2 x 5 1/4 inch strip of the ‘Tis The Season DSP to the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Real Red CS. Fold the 4 1/4 x 11 inch Whisper White CS card base at the 5 1/2 inch score line and use the Bone Folder to make the fold crisp. Adhere the Real Red/DSP card piece to the front of the Whisper White CS card base.

Position all of the Pine Trees and the sentiment on the card front. Adhere two of the Pine Trees flat.

Adhere the third Pine Tree and the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Adhere the fourth Pine Tree to the inside of the card.

Now for the Bling! The Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the Star Designer Elements can both be found in the 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.

Place a star over each tree and then scatter the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Viola! You have a fun and simple Christmas card!

Kylie’s Monthly International Blog Highlights Gallery- November 2020-Stampin’ Up!®-Country Home and Beautiful Autumn Thank You

Thank you for stopping by Theresa’s Treasures today. I am Theresa and I am a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator in Arizona, USA. Today I am taking part in Kylie Bertucci’s Monthly International Blog Highlights Gallery. The theme is- Thank You. On this gallery, you can see thank you cards made by folks from all over the world! My thank you card was so much fun to make! I hope you enjoy it. Please remember to visit the Highlights Gallery and vote for me! Thank you!

For this card I used the milk can and floral arrangement from the Country Home stamp set in the 2020-21 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. The oak and maple leaves are from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set in the 2020 Stampin’ Up! August-December Mini Catalog. The pumpkin and squash were cut from the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper also in the Mini Catalog. Yes-I did a lot of fussy cutting!

I used the Gold Hoop Embellishment to make a sort of wreath for the arrangement. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set. The background is the Brushed Metallic card stock embossed with the Tin Tile 3D embossing folder. I also used a bit of the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper.

Viola! After much fussy cutting and arranging, trimming here and there, I settled on this arrangement for this card. Remember to say thank you often as it is always nice to be appreciated.

Please stop by the International Blog Highlights Gallery and see all the awesome Thank You cards from all over the world!
