Stampin’ Up!® Turtle Friends Birthday for the Paper Players PP542- Sketch Challenge

Today I have card for The Paper Players Challenge which is a sketch challenge.

Here is the card I came up with using the Turtle Friends stamp set by Stampin’ Up! This is such a cute set. My Mom loved turtles. She collected little turtle figurines. When she passed away, each of her 16 grandchildren were allowed to select one of the turtle figurines to take with them. This card is a tribute to her.

The paper on the lower third of the card is from the Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper. The turtle is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink onto Just Jade Card Stock (CS). The bird is stamped in Pacific Point ink onto Balmy Blue CS. The card base is Balmy Blue CS and is embossed with the new Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. The rhinestones are from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Here is a peek at the inside. So adorable!

For more ideas from this sketch challenge visit The Paper Players to see how other crafters used the sketch for their cards.

Stampin’ Up!® Quiet Meadow Thank You for the Paper Players PP541

I have been wanting to participate in The Paper Players Challenges for several weeks now. Life just seems to get in the way. Today I had some time to prepare a Clean and Simple card using Polka Dots for The Paper Players Challenge PP541.

I just love the Quiet Meadow stamp set in the 2021-2022 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog with the delicate flowers. My Grandmother used to have a fabulous flower garden in Kentucky. There were so many beautiful flowers but one of my favorite was the Sweet Williams. The flowers on this card look like the Sweet Williams, so that is how I colored them.

Here is a close up to show you the coloring more easily. I used the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers in Magenta Madness and Granny Apple Green. These come in a light and dark shade so you can make the image more 3D. I still need a little practice on the shading.

Here is the photo I referred to for my coloring. I have tried to grow Sweet Williams here in Arizona but the deer think they are dessert!

I really enjoyed making this card. I did use the Masking Technique to stamp the Polka Dot pattern around the Sweet Williams.

I have listed the supplies I used to make this card below. I am an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. If you do not already have a Demonstrator, I would love to be your Demonstrator. Thank You Card for Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop- May 2021 with Pansy Patch by Stampin’ Up!®

Thank you for joining me today for our Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Training Program Monthly Blog Hop! I am so excited to show you a Thank You card made with product from the new 2021-2022 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog! Be sure to visit all the blogs and see all the different thank you cards from around the world! I know you will get lots of ideas and creative inspiration!

The theme for the cards today is: Thank You. I am grateful to have customers who support me and I send them a Thank You card every once in awhile. The following set of cards is for my fabulous customers who order during the month of May.

This card was so fun to make. It required a lot of layered stamping, so it is probably better for the more experienced stamper. The Pansy Patch stamp set uses up to 4 layers of stamping to create these lovely pansies. Here’s how I did it.

Stamping

The first step is to use the background stamp for the largest flower and stamp in Highland Heather ink.

Next I stamped the background stamp for the smaller pansy in Highland Heather ink. I then stamped the second layer for the larger pansy in Gorgeous Grape ink, right over the first layer.

Continuing with the Gorgeous Grape ink I stamped the second layer of the small pansies. The center for the large pansy is then stamped in Daffodil Delight ink.

Finishing up with the Daffodil Delight ink I stamped the center of the small pansies. There is one more layer for the larger pansy which I stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink.

For the leaves I Stamped Off once with Garden Green ink to make the background layer. The second layer of the leaves is stamped at full strength.

Finished Card

Voila! There you have it. I also did some stamping on the inside panel. The sentiment is from the Pansy Patch stamp set and is cut with the Double Oval Punch. The scalloped oval is also cut with the Double Oval Punch. I added the Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon bow and the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.

Thanks for stopping by Theresa’s Treasures. Look through the list below to see who is next in line for the Blog Hop.

Cardz4Guyz Challenge #270- Monochromatic with Sailing Home by Stampin’ Up!®

This awesome handmade Father’s Day card was so fun to make! I feel energized when I have a chance to be creative! The Cardz4Guyz Challenge #270-Monochromatic was a great inspiration.

The Stampin’ Up! colors are: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla for the Card Stock (CS). The ink is Memento in Rich Cocoa (not a Stampin’ Up! product). The stitched outline on the Early Espresso CS is made with the Stitched With Whimsy Dies. The Crumb Cake CS card base was embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

I also like to do some stamping on the inside of the card. I just continued the rope and anchor.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Smooth Sailing dies to easily cut out the images of the lighthouse and anchor. The twine is from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack. The sentiment is from the retired Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set.
