Around the World On Wednesday Blog Hop-July 2025- Tic Tac Toe and CASE with Gallery Blooms

Hello and welcome! I am Theresa McEntee, creator of Theresa’s Treasures Paper Crafts. Today I have the pleasure of participating in the Blog Hop with Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW).

2025 marks a special milestone. We are celebrating 5 fabulous years of creative inspiration together! In order to honor the occasion, we are CASEing (Copy and Selectively Editing) one of our talented members each month. This month we are happy to focus on Aurélie Fabre.

The AWOW team put together a thematic hop to give you some inspiration for your own crafting. Tic Tac Toe is this month’s theme.

I chose shadow, circle and texture from the Tic Tac Toe. Aurélie’s style is know for texture, techniques and layers. This made creating a card to CASE hers loads of fun!

My Project for today

This card was made using the Gallery Blooms stamp set and Dies. I used the Stampin’ Blends in: Secret Sea, Cloud Cover, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pecan Pie, Calypso Coral and Peach Pie.

The leaves and flowers are die cut with the Gallery Bloom Dies from the Beautiful Gallery DSP.

The Pecan Pie cardstock circle is die cut with the Spotlight on Nature Dies.

The vintage-style is created by using a Sponge Dauber to apply Pecan Pie Ink to the edges of the DSP on each panel.

Around the World On Wednesday Blog Hop-June 2025- Out of the Box Challenge with Florals in Bloom

This month we are happy to focus on the unique and awesome work of Mikaela Titheridge from The Crafty Oink Pen.

The AWOW team put together a thematic hop to give you some inspiration for your own crafting. “Out of the Box” is this month’s theme because Mikaela often uses projects in a new and unique way. I chose one of Mikaela’s unique cards to CASE.

I also got some inspiration from a card done by Stamptastic Designs.

My Project for today

This card was made using several different stamp sets: Pretty Florals, Trusty Tools, Terrific Toadstools and Simply Said. The focus is really on the Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper. I am so in love with this patterned paper! Each design is just wonderful!

When I saw Mikaela’s card with the torn paper, I knew that I wanted to make one too. I did mine a little bit differently. Instead of having a front panel, I have a split card front.

I made a second card as I was having so much fun tearing paper! Here is the other version.

Around the World On Wednesday Blog Hop-May 2024- Seasons with Gallery Blooms

Hello and welcome! I am Theresa McEntee, creator of Theresa’s Treasures Paper Crafts. Today I have the pleasure of participating in the Blog Hop with Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW).

On the second Wednesday of each month, the AWOW team put together a thematic hop to give you some inspiration for your own crafting. “Seasons” is this month’s theme.

We are also focusing on team member Cheryll Miller.  This month I am using a technique that Cheryll used on a beautiful card she posted on her blog in February 2025.

Cheryll’s card is the green and gold one on the left. I was inspired by the verdigris look of her card, which gives the card an antique appearance. The season I chose was Spring/Summer. I wanted to try the technique using pinks and copper embossing instead.

I love the season between spring and summer because it is a lot cooler here in Arizona. There are so many vivid cactus flowers that are blooming and it’s actually comfortable to be out in the sun. Of my most favorite things about the season is the emergence of the flowers. That is why I chose the flower from Gallery Blooms for the centerpiece of this card. (See some awesome Arizona catctus flower photos at the very end of this blog).

My Project for today

The technique is an Embossing Technique Cheryll called Double Embossing. Here is the process in photos.

First apply a light color of ink to the inside of the embossing folder that has the Stampin’ Up! logo on it. Then place a 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White cardstock in and run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

Next use a Sponge Dauber to apply a medium dark ink to the raised design. Then blend the two colors using a slightly darker color with a Blending Brush. The colors here are: light – Pretty in Pink, medium- Melon Mambo and dark- Blackberry Bliss.

Finally, Use a Versamark Ink pad and gently rub along the embossing. I was a bit light on the copper embossing. If I were to try it again, I would put a little more embossing powder on it.

I did not have any copper foil. So I took a piece of Pecan Pie cardstock, and covered the edge in Versamark. Then applied Copper Embossing Powder and heat set it. This is the first layer behind the embossed layer.

For the inside of the card, blend some Pecan Pie ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. Cut a strip from a Melon Mambo cardstock die cut with the largest rectangle in the Textured Notes Dies.

All in all, I love the look!

Around the World On Wednesday Blog Hop-April 2025 with Turtle-y Awesome

Hello and welcome! I am Theresa McEntee, creator of Theresa’s Treasures Paper Crafts. Today I have the pleasure of participating in the Blog Hop with Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) organized by Angie McKenzie.

On the second Wednesday of each month, the AWOW team put together a thematic hop to give you some inspiration for your own crafting.

This month’s theme is for the 5th Anniversary of Around the World on Wednesday! We are doing a Team Member Focus. We are honoring Anne Marie Hile, Stampin’ Anne, because she was very supportive in helping Angie get this all started. The goal is to choose one of Anne Marie’s cards that she has posted and C.A.S.E. (Copy And Selectively Edit) the card.

I choose Annie Marie’s cute kitty card to C.A.S.E. I was really impressed by all of the coordinating layers in this card (there are 7 layers on her card!). She also used 2 different embossing folders. She paid lots of attention to every detail. I had fun copying this style with my Turtle-y Awesome Birthday card.

My Project for today

This card was made using the Turtle-y Awesome stamp set and dies, the Turtle Textures Embossing Folder, the Turtle-y Cute Designer Series Paper and the Shades of Green Hexagon Embellishments. These products may all be found in the 2025-2026 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog due to be released in May 2025. This is a turtle-ly terrific sneek peek!

Turtles are special to me because my Mom liked turtles. She had a collection of hundreds of little ceramic turtles she picked up everywhere she traveled. Since she passsed away in 2018, I have become even more fond of turtles.

The AWOW Team

I am so glad you have joined me today in this worldwide hug that started on April 8, 2020 and stretches all the way from Australia to Alaska across twelve different time zones. Each month this group of creative friends prepare a project for a theme. Around the World On Wednesday Blog Hop-March 2025- Monochrome Color Challenge

This month’s theme is a Monochromatic Color Challenge

I used the Stampin’ Up! Color Theory Wheel on page 132 of the
2024-25 Annual Catalog to select some “Color Buddies”. These are colors that are next to each other on the wheel. I chose Shaded Spruce, Shy Shamrock and Pretty Peacock for today’s card.

My Project for today

This card is made using several different sets of dies and stamps. Starting with the Hot Air Balloon dies found in the 2024-25 Annual Catalog, I used the heart shaped die to die cut 4 hearts in Shy Shamrock. I made a score line down the center of each heart. Then I glued them together to make a four-leafed clover. The stem is made using the heart shaped die as well.

The lattice in the background is from the Linked Together Dies in the 2025 January-April Mini Catalog. The card base and lattice are Shaded Spruce cardstock.

Next I used the banner die from Birthday Celebration (Mini Catalog) and Basic White cardstock. The sentiment comes from the Country Flower Stamp set (Annual). It was the only sentiment I could find with the word “lucky”. I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock Ink.

The design for the inside of the card is made with the small heart stamp in the Choose Happy stamp set (Annual). I wrote the sentiment myself with the Stampin’ Write Markers in Shaded Spruce, Shy Shamrock and Pretty Peacock.

The embellishments are the Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems in the Annual Catalog. The gold ribbon is an Online Exclusive.

And of course, what is a St. Patrick’s Day card without a little Wink of Stella!

Around the World On Wednesday Blog Hop-January 2025- This or That? Challenge with Storybook Moments

This or That? is January’s theme.

Which do you like better? This or That?

My Project for today

These cards are made from the Storybook Moments Suite in the 2025 Spring Mini Catalog. I just love this Suite because I have always loved bunnies! I have a collection of miniature bunny statues, numerous bunny stuffed animals and a live bunny named Snowball.

Assembling the Cards

Both of the cards have a Misty Moonlight card base 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″. The 3 Basic White cardstock stitched rectangles are made with the Nested Essentials Dies, using the 3 smaller dies. The images are stamped in Memento Ink. Then colored with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers and Watercolor Pencils.

The larger rectangle is adhered to the card base. The middle rectangle is actually 3 glued together to elevate the image slightly. The smallest rectangle with the sentiment is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The difference between the second card and the first card is layers. The second card has a layer of Fresh Freesia cardstock that has been embossed with the Eyelet Embossing Folder (available in the 2024-25 Annual Catalog).

There is another layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock cut with a die from the Citrus Blooms Dies (also available in the 2024-25 Annual Catalog). Everything else is the same as the first card.

The Antique Pearls, new in the 2025 Spring Mini Cataolg, are the embellishment. The Fresh Fresia Seam Binding is a Sale-a-bration Freebie! Sale-a-bration starts January 7, 2025 along with the debut of the 2025 Spring Mini Catalog!

Which do you like more-This? or That? Let me know in the comments.

Around the World On Wednesday Blog Hop-November 2024- Color Challenge with Decorative Trees

Hello and welcome! I am Theresa McEntee, creator of Theresa’s Treasures Paper Crafts. Today I have the pleasure of participating in the Blog Hop with Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) organized by Angie McKenzie for this Holiday Vibes Color Challenge with Decorative Trees.

On the second Wednesday of each month, the AWOW team put together a thematic hop to give you some inspiration for your own crafting. The challenge is very exciting today!

There were two color palettes to choose from- Traditional Colors & Coastal Colors. So this month’s theme for me ended up being “This or That?”since I couldn’t decide which color palette to go with.

Here are my four cards showcasing the beautiful colors of each palette.

The Traditional Colors are Garden Green, Real Red, Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist and Peach Pie. The Coastal Colors are Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo, Soft Sea Foam, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather.

My Project for today

This card was made with the Decorative Trees Bundle. The Merry Christmas sentiment came from the Reindeer Fun stamp set.

The reason I found this so exciting is that it challenged me to figure out which colors to use, and how to combine them onto one card. And I had a great time making all of the little stars and ornaments to decorate the trees with!

This card is made with the Traditional Colors. It does take a little time to make as you will be die cutting the trees, stars, garlands and ornaments. It is a lot of fun as well!

The Coastal Colors are used to create this card. Anotrher fun creation!

The other supplies I used are: Country Woods Designer Series Paper, Pecan Pie Cardstock, Crumb Cake Cardstock, Silver Trim (Online Exclusive), Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the Adhesive Sheets.

TIP: In order to avoid getting glue or tape where you don’t want it, use the Adhesive sheets on the top layer of the trees as well as for all of the decorations.

This or That?

Let me know it you like: This?-Traditional Colors or That?-Coastal Colors in the comments.

Sketch 107 with More Than Autumn

My Project for today

I really love coffee. That first sip of coffee in the morning is just so tasty!

I have very fond memories of visiting Italy with my husband and stopping in the little corner cafes to get a Café Latte. We had a special way to enjoy the foam, which is a lot thicker than in the US. We would sprinkle sugar on the foam and eat it with a spoon before finally drinking the Café Latte. Yum!

The More Than Autumn Bundle has so many images and words to choose from. I enjoyed creating this card!

The patterned paper (Designer Series Paper (DSP)) is from the A Little Latte paper pack (an Online Exclusive) and the Sublte DSP in Calypso Coral. The card base is Petal Pink cardstock. Accents are Early Espresso cardstock. The Baker’s Twine ties is all together!

Around the World On Wednesday Blog Hop-September 11, 2024- “The Way We Were” with Of Art & Texture

Hello and welcome! I am Theresa McEntee, creator of Theresa’s Treasures Paper Crafts. Today I have the pleasure of participating in the Blog Hop with Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) organized by Angie McKenzie using the Of Art & Texture stamp set by Stampin’ Up!

On the second Wednesday of each month, the AWOW team put together a thematic hop to give you some inspiration for your own crafting. This blog hop falls on September 11, which is a very dark day in US history. The theme for this month, “The Way We Were” inspires me to create a memorial card.

My Of Art & Texture Project for today

This card is made with the Of Art & Texture stamp set. You can find it in the Online Exclusives.

I enjoy being a little more abstract in my creations. The Of Art & Texture stamp set lends itself to this. I had the idea of the United States flag in mind. It is fun to play around with the different shapes. The flag is then crumbled, flattened out and embossed with the Birch 3D Embossing Folder.

September 11, 2001 is a day I will never forget even though it was 23 years ago. I remember where I was, who I was with and what I was doing as I watched the planes crash into the Twin Towers. It was one of the worst days ever. I feel very Blessed that my New York family members were all safe. Sadly, almost 3000 people died that day. If you would like to learn more about what happened, check out: https://www.911memorial.org/learn/resources/911-primer/module-1-events-day
