Across the Waves Blog Hop Stampin’ Up!® He’s All That sneak peek

Welcome to the monthly Across the Waves Blog Hop. This month’s theme is all about Masculine projects. Thanks for joining us. I have the He’s All That Sneak Peek card for you!

I hope you enjoy my project.

The He’s All That Sneak Peek card was inspired by a card I saw from Melva Peters. I changed some of the measurements so I could use fewer different pieces of the He’s The Man Designer Series Paper (DSP).

Measurements

  • Very Vanilla Card Stock (CS) card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches with a score line at 4 1/4 inches.
  • Very Vanilla CS: 2 1/2 x 4 inches for sentiment
  • Early Espresso CS: 4 x 5 1/4 inches
  • Cajun Craze CS: 3 7/8 x 5 1/8
  • He’s The Man DSP (available May 3, 2022): Early Espresso design for ribbon: 2 x 3 inches; a variety of pieces- 2 at 2 x 5 inches, 2 at 3 x 5 inches and 2 at 4 x 5 inches.

Assembling the Card

The trick is to cut several different widths of the DSP and then cut each piece on the diagonal. I used 2 inch, 3 inch and 4 inch wide by 5 inches long for the DSP.

Start to piece the card front together using a base for the DSP that measures 5 1/8 x 3 7/8 inches. I made a mark where I wanted to put the sentiment so that I could point the DSP triangles to that spot. Leave about a 1/8 inch space between the different DSP pieces.

The back side is pictured on the left. Use scissors to trim the excess DSP. When you are done the card front will look like the picture on the right.

Adhere the DSP piece to a 4 x 51/4 inch Early Espresso CS. Adhere this to the front of the Very Vanilla CS card base measuring 4 1/4 x 11 inches with a score line at 5 1/2 inches. Use the ribbon die in the All That Die set to cut 2 ribbons from the Early Espresso DSP pattern. Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of Very Vanilla CS in Early Espresso Ink. Use the rectangular die in the All That Dies to cut out the sentiment. Adhere the ribbons to the back of the sentiment piece. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment to the card front. Add a few of the Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots.

Viola! You have a really cool masculine card!

Thank you for visiting my blog today & hope you will continue on the hop.

Kylie’s International Blog Highlights Gallery- April 2022- Stampin’ Up!®Uniquely Artistic

I am so excited to be participating in Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlight Gallery with Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world! The theme for the Gallery is “Thank You”.

The stamp set I am using today is a new one in the 2022-23 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog that will be live on May 3, 2022! Because I am a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I received the Uniquely Artistic stamp set when I signed up for the On Tour Business Training this last Saturday. I really enjoyed the meeting and learned some great tips!

This card was so fun to create! The stamp set has beautiful floral images. There are not any sentiments in this set. I used the “Thank You” from the Nature’s Harvest stamp set.

I created this card while spending the weekend at a craft retreat with 73 other crafters! I had such a good time catching up with friends and finishing some projects. Now I need to get back to my routine and get some blog posts written.

I wanted to make the flowers extra special. I added Wink of Stella to the petals and used the Opal Rounds for the centers.

I also decorated the inside panel. The colors used are: Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green.
