I am so excited to be participating in Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlight Gallery with my Two-Tone & Something Fancy Thank You card, along with Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world! The theme for this Gallery is “Thank You”.

And don’t forget those who have supported you. Be sure to send a handmade thank you card to express your appreciation often. Spread joy! We really need more joy in the world today!

Supplies

Instructions

  • I recommend using the Stamparatus for Two-Step Stamping. I find it is much easier to line up the second stamp. Each flower is a Two-Step Stamp. Stamp the larger part of the flower in Petal Pink Ink first. Then stamp the detailed stamp in Calypso Coral. The small bunch of flowers is stamped in Fresh Freesia Ink first. Then stamped in Blackberry Bliss Ink. Use the Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Marker to draw the center of each of the Petal Pink flowers.
  • Next, stamp the “Thank You” sentiment in Blackberry Bliss Ink. Die cut the sentiment using the Something Fancy Dies.
  • Use the Stylish Shapes Dies to die cut the 2 1/2 inch stitched circle and the banner.
  • Use the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to emboss the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Calypso Coral cs with the Cane Weave Embossing Folder
  • Adhere the Cane Weave card piece to the front of the Basic White cs card base.
  • Adhere the Dandy Designs DSP to the 2 1/4 x 5 1/8 inch Petal Pink cs. Then adhere this to the left side of the card front.
  • Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment.
  • Adhere the Petal Pink cs banner. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the Basic White cs stitched circle.
  • Place the flowers as desired. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals on some flowers. Add the leaves.
  • Color the White Seam Binding Ribbon with the Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Marker. Tie into a bow. Adhere to the card front with a Mini Glue Dot.

Bling! Use the Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots in Petal Pink to add Bling! to the card front.

Let’s Set Sail for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop – July 2022- Scene and Color Inspiration

Hello everyone!  I’m so glad that you’re visiting today and hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop again this month! We are sharing inspiration from this lovely summer Scene & Color Challenge. There are several of us hopping today. You will find the list to follow along at the end of my blog post.

I was inspired mostly by the colors and used all of them! I really liked the idea of the sailboat too.

Creating the Card Yourself

Start by putting the Rays of Light stamp in the Stamparatus. Using a Sponge Dauber, apply the ink starting with Daffodil Delight Ink around the center of the rays. Next apply Mango Melody Ink in a circle around the Daffodil Delight Ink. Follow with Poppy Parade Ink. Finish up by applying Blackberry Bliss Ink on the edges of the stamp. Huff on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp onto a 3 3/4 x 5 inch Basic White card stock. Repeat this process on a second 3 3/4 x 5 inch Basic White CS. You will use the second stamped Rays of Light card piece for the inside of the card.

In Smoky Slate Ink, stamp some birds around the center of the rays of light. Use the Smoky Slate Ink to stamp the sentiment “Adventure Awaits” onto a 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch strip of Basic White card stock. Use the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the sentiment.

Stamp the sailboat in Blackberry Bliss Ink onto a scrap of Basic White card stock. Use the Sailboat Builder Punch. Stamp each sail in Blackberry Bliss Ink and use the Sailboat Builder Punch. You will end up with 2 sails and a boat with a mast and flag.

Stamp the water in Pacific Point Ink onto a 2 x 6 inch Basic White card stock. Fussy cut.

Putting it all together

Adhere the Rays of Light card piece to a 4 x 5 1/4 inch Blackberry Bliss card stock. Then adhere the combo to the Pacific Point card stock card base (4 1/4 x 11 inches scored at 5 1/2 inches).

Trim a 1/2 inch strip off the right-hand edge of the second copy of the stamped Rays of Light. Adhere this to a 4 x 5 1/4 inch Basic White card stock. There will be a border around it. Adhere the card piece to the inside panel of the Pacific Point card stock card base.

Trim the stamped water to 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the water to the bottom of the card front.

Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment. Finish by adhering the boat followed by the sails-all on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope this card has inspired you and hopefully brightened your day.  There are other amazing inspirations for you to see as you hop along this blog hop. Please see the list below. You are at Theresa’s Treasures written by Theresa McEntee-USA. Be sure not to miss anyone!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Kylie’s International Blog Highlights Gallery- July 2022- Stampin’ Up!® Hello Ladybug Thank You card

I can’t believe it is July already! This year is flying by for me! This Stampin’ Up® Hello Ladybug Thank You card is a perfect thank you card for July picnics and barbeques.

I am delighted to be participating in Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlight Gallery with Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world today! The theme for the Gallery is “Thank You”. We often forget those simple words – Thank you. It is so important to show your appreciation to the people in your lives who have inspired you, helped you, and supported you by sending them a thank you card.

The Stampin’ Up!® Hello Ladybug stamp set has several fun ladybug images. There is a coordinating Ladybug Builder Punch.

Let’s make this card!

Measurements and Supplies

  • Basic White Card Stock(CS) card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches with a score line at 4 1/4 inches
  • Real Red CS: 5 1/4 x 4 inches and 3/4 x 4 1/4 inches
  • Basic Black CS: 5 1/8 x 3 7/8 inches and 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches
  • Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper (DSP): 3 x 3 3/4 inches

  • Basic White CS: 3/4 x 2 1/2 inches for the sentiment and extra for stamping the ladybug, flowers and leaf
  • Ink: Memento, Real Red and Parakeet Party
  • Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels
  • I also used the Label Me Fancy Punch to round the end of the sentiment strip

Instructions

Tip #1: to get the best results with stamping a stamp with a large solid area like the ladybug and leaf, use the Stamparatus so you can stamp over the image a few times.

Tip #2: Be mindful of how you position the stamps for the ladybug body and wings on the Basic White CS so you can use the punch.

  1. Stamp the body of the ladybug in Memento Ink onto Basic
    White CS.
  2. Using a second piece of Basic White CS stamp the ladybug wings in Real Red Ink. Use Memento Ink to stamp the spots.
  3. On another piece of Basic White CS stamp the leaf in Parakeet Party Ink. You will need to Fussy Cut the leaf.
  4. Use Real Red Ink to stamp the sentiment onto the 3/4 x 2 1/2 inch Basic White CS.
  5. Insert the left end of the sentiment strip into the left side of the Label Me Fancy Punch to round the edge. Cut a banner edge on the right end.
  6. Adhere the Real Red CS to the Basic White CS card base. Then adhere the Basic Black followed by the pieces of DSP.
  7. To make the ladybug appear as though it were flying, use a Stampin’ Dimensional on the tail end and adhesive on the head.
  8. For the wings, use the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the tips and adhere the top of the wings to the ladybug body with adhesive.
  9. The leaf is adhered by using a Stampin’ Dimensional on the base and adhering the tip with adhesive.
  10. Adhere the sentiment.
  11. Apply the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels as desired.

For the inside of the card, adhere the Real Red CS, Sweetest Christmas DSP and Basic Black strips as shown. Stamp the trio of flowers in Real Red Ink and Fussy Cut.

Voila! You have a great summer Thank You card!

Stampin’ Up!® Classic Cloche Dome Christmas Shaker Card

I am on Day 4 of the “12 Days of Christmas Card Making Challenge” with my stamping buddy Christy. Each day my blog will focus on a new holiday card. The challenge is until December 10, 2021. I plan to showcase a different stamp set with each card. This will allow you plenty of time to see the great products that are available in the 2021 Stampin’ Up! July to December Mini Catalog and to order in time to make your own Christmas cards! You can order HERE when you have your list ready!

Today’s card is the Stampin’ Up!® Classic Cloche Dome Christmas Shaker Card. The card shaker is made with the Cloche Dome and the Subtle Shimmer Sequins.

Measurements

Classic Cloche Dome Christmas Shaker Card

  • Real Red Card Stock (CS) card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches with a score line at 4 1/4 inches
  • Basic White CS: 4 x 5 1/4 inches and 3 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches
  • Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper (DSP): 4 x 5 1/4 inches
  • One Cloche Shaker Dome #156387 (Order HERE)
  • A more complete supply list is at the end of the blog

The Cloche Dome can be used with two different stamp sets- the Classic Cloche and the Sweets & Treats! Click on either one to go directly to my Online Store and start shopping.

Stamping

First use the Cloche Dies to cut out the space for the dome. Then use Real Red Ink to stamp the sentiment under the dome.

This little image of the birds in the dome is actually a 3-Step Stamp. First- stamp the outline of the birds and branches in Memento ink. Second- use the stamp with just the branches with Garden Green Ink. Third- use the stamp with the body of the birds and stamp in Real Red Ink. (I really struggled to get these to line up. I ended up using the Stamparatus because I could place the 2nd and 3rd stamps more accurately.) Alternatively, you could always color in the image using the Garden Green and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers.

Stamp the 3-Step Stamp of the bird image on the lower right-hand corner of the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Basic White CS. Add the sentiment in Real Red Ink.

Assembling the Card

Adhere the stamped card piece to the inside of the Real Red CS card base.

Adhere the Heartwarming Hugs DSP to the card front. Then lay but DO NOT ADHERE both of the pieces with the dome. Adhere the dome piece with the birds stamped on it ONLY. Pull the sentiment piece away.

Adding the Dome and Sequins

I like to place a few of the Rhinestone Basic Jewels on the bird card piece. The sequins will fall to the bottom of the plastic dome when the card is upright. Having a few rhinestones allows the sparkle to stay. Now add about a teaspoon of the Subtle Shimmer Sequins onto the center of the bird card piece. (In hindsight, I could have added about 2x the amount of sequins that I did).

Peel the protective cover off of the inside of the Cloche Dome. Carefully place it over the bird card piece and press firmly to adhere.

Now peel the protective cover off of the front of the Cloche Dome. Apply adhesive to the back of the sentiment card piece. Carefully position this piece over the Cloche Dome. Press firmly to adhere.

Add a bow made from the Real Red Double Stitched Satin Ribbon. Voila! The card is finished. Shake it to see how fabulous this shaker card is!

I also have a blog about a Thanksgiving Shaker Card made with the Sweets & Treats stamp set. Check it out HERE.

I really hope you give shaker cards a try. It is such a fun alternative to the standard card!

Stampin’ Up!® Butterfly Brilliance and Masking Technique

Welcome to Wacky Wednesday Techniques! Today I am using the Stampin’ Up!® Butterfly Brilliance and Masking Technique. I will be using the Stamparatus and if you do not know what one is, I will show you how the Stamparatus makes stamping a large image very easy.

This gorgeous card is really easy to create. In addition to the Masking Technique, I also used the Tear and Tape with the Gilded Leafing Embellishment which is such an easy way to add a lot of sparkle!

Measurements:

Measurements: Mango Melody Card Stock (CS) card base: 4 1/4 x 11 inches with a score line at 5 1/2 inches; Basic White CS: 6 x 6 inches and 4 x 5 1/4 inches (not pictured).

Stamparatus

The Stamparatus is a stamp positioner tool which helps you stamp perfect crisp, dark images every time. The Stamparatus comes with 2 magnets which I have wrapped in Duct Tape to make it easier to pick them up off of the plate. The dark foam mat is to use with the Photopolymer Stamps. The Stamparatus also comes with 2 hinged plates. You may purchase yours HERE.

Stamping with the Stamparatus and the Masking Technique

To begin making this card, adhere some removable sticky note tape in a diagonal across the 6 x 6 inch Basic White CS. Place the Basic White CS on the Stamparatus as shown. Leave a little border around the paper.

Lay the Butterfly Brilliance stamp onto the paper where you want it. Close the hinged plate and press firmly so that the stamp will stick to it.

Open up the hinged plate. Apply the Memento Black ink using a stamp case underneath to help stabilize the opened plate. Close and press firmly all around. This stamp is lighter that I would like, so all I need to do is re-ink the stamp and close the hinge again. It keeps the stamp in perfect alignment.

When the butterflies are stamped dark enough, remove the 6 x 6 Basic White CS and peel the sticky note tape off.

I had started to color in the butterflies but realized I should stamp the sentiment first, in case it did not turn out right. The “Happy Birthday” sentiment is from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set. The sentiment is stamped in Memento Black ink.

Now use the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers to color the butterflies. These markers are great because they blend together and leave a nicely colored image without any lines where layers overlap. The colors I used are : So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Dark Pumpkin Pie.

Gilded Leafing Embellishment Technique

Apply a strip of Tear & Tape to the sides of the sentiment. This is where the Gilded Leafing will stick.

I store my Gilded Leafing in a box about 1/2 the size of a shoe box. I just lay the card on the Gilded Leafing and press down a little.

When you pull it out of the box there will be a lot of Gilded Leafing on the card piece. Just brush it away and then use a Stampin’ Sponge to get all of the small pieces of the Leafing away.

Adhere the stamped and Gilded Butterfly Brilliance card piece to the front of the Mango Melody CS card base. Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Basic White CS to the inside of the card base.

Viola! You have a beautiful birthday card to send off to some one special. And you learned 2 Techniques!

For today’s card I am using the Hey Birthday Chick and Hey Chick stamp sets by Stampin’ Up! which will be released on February 2, 2021.

This is such a fun card to make. I am using the Buffalo Check stamp with Poppy Parade ink for the background. The letters for the “THANKS” are from the Playful Alphabet Dies.

The tower of chickens is created by using the Stamparatus. A mask is used to remove the birthday hat from the little chick at the top. I colored the chickens with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers in: Poppy Parade, Cinnamon Cider, Ivory, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight.

The chicken wire embellishment is from a die in the Chicks Dies and is cut out with the Silver Foil Sheet.

Stampin’ Up!® Poinsettia Petals Merry Christmas with Stamparatus Tips & Tricks

I am on day 4 of my 15-Day Christmas Card Challenge! Today I have a gorgeous poinsettia card wishing a Merry Christmas!

The Poinsettia Petals stamp set and coordinating Poinsettia Dies create the perfect poinsettia for this card. The background has a Christmas Layers Die which is in the 2020-21 Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog. The Poinsettia Petals and Poinsettia Dies are in the 2020 Aug-Dec Mini Catalog.

Measurements: Very Vanilla CS card base: 4 1/4 x 11 inches with a score line at 5 1/2 inches; Very Vanilla CS: 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 inches, 7/8 x 3 1/4 inches, 5 x 5 inches and 4 x 6 inches; Mossy Meadow CS: 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches and 3 x 4 inches; and Real Red: 4 x 5 3/4 inches.

Warning: this blog is a little longer than usual so I can introduce some new products with some tips.

Stamp the sentiment ” Merry Christmas” in Mossy Meadow ink onto the 7/8 x 3 1/4 inch Very Vanilla CS. Set aside.

To make the background a little more interesting I stamped some small dots from the Gather Together stamp set in Real Red and in Mossy Meadow by Stamping Off first. Set aside.

To make it more simple to stamp all the pieces for the poinsettia, berries and leaves I used the Stamparatus. Tip: The Poinsettia Petals stamps are Photopolymer. In order to get a good image, it is helpful to use the Stamparatus Deluxe Foam Mat. The other option which I had used for quite awhile it to use the Stamparatus Foam Mat with a Silicone mat on top.

I placed the card stock I want to stamp on about 1 inch from the inner edge. Tip: If the stamp is too close to the inner edge it will not stamp all the way. Position the two leaves and the berries on one half of the 4 x 6 inch Very Vanilla CS. Trick: I wrapped my magnets in colorful duct tape with a little extra tab to grab onto. This makes it easier to pick the magnets up. It also prevents them from getting stuck together.

Apply Memento Black Ink to the stamps, close the panel and press firmly and evenly.

Turn the Very Vanilla CS and stamp onto the other side. As you can see, there is an area that did not get stamped on the upper right leaf. This is the beauty of the Stamparatus. Just apply more Memento ink, close the panel, press more firmly on the unstamped area, lift the panel and Viola! the problem area is fixed!

Using the second panel, position the three sizes of poinsettia on the 5 x 5 inch Very Vanilla CS. Repeat the process. Note: If you wanted to make, say 25 cards, that were all similar, this is the way to do it quickly. You just keep stamping until you have as many as you want. Can you tell I love my Stamparatus!

When I am done stamping I stamp onto a scrap paper to remove most of the ink. I then use my Simply Shammy moistened with water to clean the stamps. The Simply Shammy can be rinsed out although the ink does stain it a bit.

I used the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers to color the poinsettia, leaves and berries. The colors I used were: Light & Dark: Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive. I used Light Mango Melody for the center of the poinsettia. For the berries I used the Bronze and Ivory. The images are cut with the Poinsettia Dies.

The leaves and petals of the poinsettia can be curved with the Bone Folder to add dimension to the card.

The last piece needed is the branch of leaves from the Christmas Layers Dies. I cut the branch into three smaller branches. Now we can put it all together.

Adhere the branches onto the stamped Very Vanilla CS card piece. Use a Stampin’ Dimensional on the center of the largest poinsettia and adhere it to the card piece. Add the berries. Since the petals of the poinsettia are not adhered, the berries slide right under the petals.

Use Stampin’ Dimensionals in the center of the two remaining poinsettias and adhere them to the first poinsettia. Adhere the leaves in place. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment “Merry Christmas”.

Adhere the Cherry Cobbler CS to the front of the Very Vanilla CS card base, then adhere the Mossy Meadow CS. Finish the card by adhering the poinsettia panel to the card front.

Add a little sparkle with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

Of course, I think the card needs a little more Bling! Add the Cherry Cobbler rhinestones that are in the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a touch of sparkle in the background.

Viola! You have a gorgeous poinsettia card to wish someone a Merry Christmas!

Thanks for hanging in there today. This one was a little long. I wanted to be sure to introduce some new products and techniques with a few tips & tricks..

All of the products I used to create this card are pictured below. Select any photo to go to my Online Store and start shopping. If you have any questions, please send me an email at theresastreasures.az@gmail.com

I hope you give this one a try. It is a little bit of a challenge, but the end result gives a nice feeling of accomplishment. Have a great day and spend some quality time stamping soon!
