Kylie’s International Blog Highlights Gallery- November 2022- Stampin’ Up!® Fitting Florets with the Kindest Gnomes

I am delighted to be participating in Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlight Gallery with Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world today! The theme for the Gallery is “Thank You”. We often forget those simple words – Thank you. It is so important to show your appreciation to the people in your lives who have inspired you, helped you, and supported you by sending them a thank you card.

This cute little gnome really makes this fall thank you card fun. The background is from the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper (DSP). The gnome hat is made with the Celebrate Everything DSP. The leaves and oval are from the Framed Florets Dies which is part of the Fitting Florets Collection that just came out.

Measurements

Crushed Curry card stock (cs) card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches with a score line at 4 1/4 inches.
Crushed Curry cs: 4 x 5 1/4 inches for the leaves and the gnomes feet
Basic White cs: 4 x 5 1/4 inches for the inside and 2 1/2 x 6 inches for the sentiment and the gnomes beard.
Cajun Craze cs: 4 x 5 1/4 inches for the oval
Petal Pink cs: 1 x 1 inch for the gnomes nose
Rustic Harvest DSP: 4 x 5 1/4 inches
Celebrate Everything DSP: 2 x 3 inches for the gnomes hat

Instructions

Use the leaf stamps in the Framed Florets stamp set along with Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry Ink. Stamp along the left and bottom borders of the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Basic White cs. Adhere this piece to the inside panel of the the Crushed Curry cs card base.
Stamp the Thank You sentiment in Cajun Craze Ink onto the end of the 2 1/2 x 6 inch Basic White cs. Use the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch to punch the sentiment out. Note: the thank you sentiment I used is from the Cup Of Tea stamp set.

3. Die cut the large frame in the Framed Florets Dies from the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Cajun Craze cs. We will only be using the oval. You may save the beautiful frame for another card or project. Also die cut the leaves and the parts of the gnome.

4. First adhere the Rustic Harvest DSP to the front panel of the Crushed Curry cs card base. Adhere the Cajun Craze cs oval in the center. Follow up by adding the Crushed Curry cs leaf sprigs as shown.

5. Add the remaining leaves.

6. Add the gnome and sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Embellish as desired with the Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls.

Fitting Florets Fall Birthday Card

The new Fitting Florets Collection is so versatile! Today I will be putting together a fall birthday card. Check out my previous blog, which is a Blog Hop, to see more cards made with the Fitting Florets Collection.

I just love these beautiful fall colors- Merry Merlot, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze. The pretty butterfly and chrysanthemum paper is the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper (DSP) in the 2022 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog. Let me show you how to make your own card.

Measurements

Merry Merlot cardstock (cs) card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches with a score line at 4 1/4 inches.
Merry Merlot cs: 4 x 5 inches for the Framed Florets Dies frame
Crushed Curry cs: 4 x 5 1/4 inches and 2 x 2 inches to cut out 2 leaves.
Cajun Craze cs: 2 x 2 inches to cut out 2 leaves
Mossy Meadow cs: 3 x 5 inches for the leaf sprigs and leaves
Basic White cs: 4 x 5 1/4 inches for inside of the card and 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches for the sentiment.

Instructions

Use the Framed Florets Dies to create the butterfly piece by cutting as shown below from the Rustic Harvest DSP.

2. Cut a frame from Merry Merlot cs. Stamp the sentiment in Merry Merlot Ink onto 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch Basic White cs. Use the 3rd up from the smallest stitched circle in the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the sentiment.

3. Cut out the leaves as shown above from the Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze cs.

4. Stamp the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Basic White cs as shown below. Adhere this to the inside of the Merry Merlot cs card base.

5. Run the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Crushed Curry cs through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Timeworn 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere this piece to the front of the Merry Merlot cs card base.

5. Adhere the butterfly piece to the center of the card front. Then adhere the Merry Merlot cs frame around the butterfly piece. Next adhere the two Mossy Meadow leaf sprigs as shown.

6. Finish up by adhering the remaining leaves. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment. Add some Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls.

Voila! You have a beautiful fall birthday card!

Fitting Florets- Demonstrator Training Blog Hop

Demonstrators from all over the world who want to improve their Stampin’ Up! business. Be sure to see everyone’s Blog on the hop and you will be amazed at all the inspiration and creativity!

My Card

The Fitting Florets Collection has been available to Demonstrators since October 4, 2022. Today, November 1, 2022 everyone will be able order it! This lovely collection includes: Framed Florets and Framed & Festive stamp sets, Framed Florets Dies, Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls.

Here is how to make my card

Measurements

Thick Basic White cardstock (cs): 4 1/4 x 11 inches for the card base. 4 x 5 1/4 inches and 3 x 4 inches for cutting the frames.
Vellum cs: 4 x 5 1/4 inches to cut the inside oval for the sentiment
Basic White cs: 4 1/4 x 11 inches to stamp the flowers & leaves on.

Instructions

Stamp the flower & leaf images onto the 4 1/4 x 11 inch Basic White cs. Color with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. I used: Poppy Parade combo, Dark Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce combo, Dark Mint Macaron and Light Daffodil Delight.

Use the Framed Florets Dies to cut all of the images out. You will also need to stamp and color an additional small single flower, large single flower, sprig of leaves and the pair of leaves for the inside of the card.
Run the Thick Basic White cs card base through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder on the front panel. Set aside.
Cut out the larger frame in the Framed Florets Dies from the Vellum cs and from the Thick Basic White cs.
Cut out the smaller frame from the Thick Basic White cs.
Use the Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment “Thank you with all my Heart” in Stazon Black Ink onto the oval created when you cut the large frame from the Vellum cs.
Adhere the stamped Vellum cs oval to the Thick Basic White cs oval with Mini Glue Dots around the edges such that they will be covered with the flowers.
Adhere the large frame cut from the Thick Basic White cs to the front of the card base.
Adhere the Vellum/Thick Basic White cs oval to the center of the large frame.
Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the smaller frame over the sentiment piece.
Lay the flowers and leaves down the way you would like them to look.
I adhered some with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and some with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add the Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls.
For the inside of the card adhere the images as shown below.

Voila! You have a very elegant Thank You card!

Best Witches for a Happy Halloween

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I used to love to sew costumes for my kids. Now I make Halloween cards to send out to everyone.

I had back surgery 4 days ago. For 3 weeks before the surgery I had been confined to my bed due to severe sciatic pain from a herniated disc. I did a lot of coloring during that time and ended up with a lot of witches and frogs from the Best Witches stamp set!

Here is one of the cards I came up with using my witch and frog.

Measurements

Parakeet Party cardstock (CS) card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches with a score at 4 1/4 inches.
Parakeet Party cs: 1/2 x 5 inches for the stars.
Rustic Harvest 12 x 12 inch Designer Series Paper (DSP)-plaid design: 5 x 3 3/4 inches and 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches.
Basic Black cs: 1/4 x 3 inches for the sentiment.
Basic White cs: 3 1/2 x 4 inches for stamping the witch & frog and 4 x 5 1/4 inches for the inside of the card.

Supplies

Best Witches stamp set
Memento Ink
Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers in: Parakeet Party, Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, Fresh Freesia, SU800 (skin tone), Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black.

Instructions

Stamp the images onto the 3 1/2 x 4 inches Basic White cs. Color as desired with the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. Fussy cut the witch and frog.

Preparing the Paper

Let’s start by preparing the paper with the Blending Brush and Parakeet Party Ink. Blend the ink onto the Rustic Harvest plaid design on the right hand side in an area where the witch will be. Make the circle large enough to surround the witch. Also blend some Parakeet Party Ink onto the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Basic White cs where you will be stamping the sentiment for the inside of the card. Blend some ink on the middle of the 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch plaid strip.
Use the Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Marker and a ruler to draw the lines on the Rustic Harvest DSP plaid design. I did not draw the lines all the way through the area that was inked with the Parakeet Party Ink. Also draw some lines with the Bermuda Bay marker on the 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch strip of the plaid paper.

Using the Glitter Washi

Use the Parakeet Party Glitter Washi to cover 2-3 inches of the end of the 1/2 x 5 inch Parakeet Party cs.
Use the Basic Black Glitter Washi to make a box on the front of the Parakeet Party cs card base. The tape is placed 1/4 inch in from the edge.
Use the Witch Builder Punch to cut out the stars.
Complete the inside of the card by adhering the plaid strip to the left side of the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Basic White cs and adding a strip of the Parakeet Party Glitter Washi. (see photo of inside of card above).

Finishing Up

Use the Versamark Ink to stamp the sentiment onto the 1/4 x 3 inch Basic Black cs. Sprinkle the White Emboss Powder on top and then shake off the excess. Use the Heat Tool to set the Emboss Powder.
Adhere the 3 3/4 x 5 inch Rustic Harvest plaid onto the card front. The Basic Black Glitter Washi should show around the edges.
Adhere the sentiment.
Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the witch and the frog.
Add the stars.
Stamp the inside sentiment in Memento Ink.
Adhere the plaid strip with the Parakeet Party Glitter Washi.
Adhere the inside card piece to the inside of the Parakeet Party cs card base.

Voila! You have a fun Halloween card!

Season of Chic Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop

Welcome to the monthly Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop showcasing the Season in Chic Bundle. The stamp set is Season of Chic and the dies are Chic Dies. They come as a Bundle which saves you 10%. You can shop at my Online Store HERE.

You will also need the Leaf Fall Embossing Folder, the Stylish Shapes Dies and the Fabulous Frames Dies.

Instructions

Cut the Soft Suede Card Stock (CS) card base at 4 1/4 x 11 inches. Use the Leaf Fall Embossing Folder on the front panel.
Use the Soft Suede Ink Pad to drag across the embossed leaves.

3. Cut out the leaves from Mango Melody CS, Petal Pink CS and Gold Foil. Adhere them as shown below.

5. Cut the larger Fabulous Frame from the Texture Chic Designer Series Paper. Adhere the frame with 1/4 strips cut from the Foam Adhesive Sheets to the front panel of the Soft Suede CS card base.

6. Start to add the other elements, starting with a cut up portion of the net cut from Gold Foil.

7. Add the other elements.

8. Add the sentiment stamped in Soft Suede Ink onto Very Vanilla CS that is die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Add some Flowers Trinkets and Voila! That is it!

Let’s Set Sail for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop – July 2022- Scene and Color Inspiration

Hello everyone! I’m so glad that you’re visiting today and hope you are having a wonderful day! Today I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop again this month! We are sharing inspiration from this lovely summer Scene & Color Challenge. There are several of us hopping today. You will find the list to follow along at the end of my blog post.

I was inspired mostly by the colors and used all of them! I really liked the idea of the sailboat too.

Creating the Card Yourself

Start by putting the Rays of Light stamp in the Stamparatus. Using a Sponge Dauber, apply the ink starting with Daffodil Delight Ink around the center of the rays. Next apply Mango Melody Ink in a circle around the Daffodil Delight Ink. Follow with Poppy Parade Ink. Finish up by applying Blackberry Bliss Ink on the edges of the stamp. Huff on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp onto a 3 3/4 x 5 inch Basic White card stock. Repeat this process on a second 3 3/4 x 5 inch Basic White CS. You will use the second stamped Rays of Light card piece for the inside of the card.

In Smoky Slate Ink, stamp some birds around the center of the rays of light. Use the Smoky Slate Ink to stamp the sentiment “Adventure Awaits” onto a 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch strip of Basic White card stock. Use the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the sentiment.

Stamp the sailboat in Blackberry Bliss Ink onto a scrap of Basic White card stock. Use the Sailboat Builder Punch. Stamp each sail in Blackberry Bliss Ink and use the Sailboat Builder Punch. You will end up with 2 sails and a boat with a mast and flag.

Stamp the water in Pacific Point Ink onto a 2 x 6 inch Basic White card stock. Fussy cut.

Putting it all together

Adhere the Rays of Light card piece to a 4 x 5 1/4 inch Blackberry Bliss card stock. Then adhere the combo to the Pacific Point card stock card base (4 1/4 x 11 inches scored at 5 1/2 inches).

Trim a 1/2 inch strip off the right-hand edge of the second copy of the stamped Rays of Light. Adhere this to a 4 x 5 1/4 inch Basic White card stock. There will be a border around it. Adhere the card piece to the inside panel of the Pacific Point card stock card base.

Trim the stamped water to 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the water to the bottom of the card front.

Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment. Finish by adhering the boat followed by the sails-all on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Inspirations in Ink-Christmas in July Blog Hop-July 2022-Stampin’ Up! Trees for Sale Whimsical Christmas Card

Welcome to the monthly Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop showcasing my Trees for Sale Whimsical Christmas Card. This month the theme is “Christmas in July”. The stamp set I chose for this card is Trees for Sale. I also used the Whimsical Woodland 3D Embossing Folder and the Fabulous Frame Dies.

Here’s how to make a Trees for Sale Whimsical Christmas Card for yourself:

Measurements/ Supplies

Mint Macaron card stock card base: 4 1/4 x 11 inches scored at
5 1/2 inches
Shaded Spruce card stock: two 4 x 5 1/4 inches embossed with the Whimsical Woodland 3D embossing folder
Real Red card stock: two cut with the Fabulous Frames die
Basic White card stock: two cut with the Fabulous Frames die, a 3/4 x 3 inch strip for the sentiment and a scrap for stamping the dog
Ink: Memento, White Craft, Mint Macaron, Shaded Spruce, Balmy Blue and Soft Suede
Stampin’ Up! Masking Paper
Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers: Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Real Red and Light Night of Navy
Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker
Stampin’ Dimensionals

Instructions for the Trees for Sale Whimsical Christmas Card

Step 1- 3D Technique

Start by using the White Craft Ink pad to drag it across both Shaded Spruce card stock card pieces embossed with the Whimsical Woodland 3D embossing folder. The “before and after” is pictured above. The White Craft Ink really helps the tree design pop! Set aside to dry.

Step 2-Stamping with Stampin’ Up! Masking Paper

Take the center out of both of the Basic White card stock Fabulous Frame die cuts to stamp on.
Use Soft Suede Ink to stamp the “trees for sale” sign on one of the Basic White card stock card pieces. Stamp a sign on a piece of the Masking Paper. (I used a pink sticky note so you could see what I was masking a little better)
Fussy cut the sign from the Masking Paper. Cover the trees for sale sign on the stamped card piece with the Masking Paper sign.
Use Mint Macaron Ink to stamp the solid small and medium sized trees.
Stamp a small tree on the Masking Paper and fussy cut it.
Use Shaded Spruce to stamp the detailed tree on the small tree only.
Cover the small tree with the tree you cut from the Masking Paper.

Step 3-More Masking

Use Shaded Spruce ink to stamp the detailed tree on all the medium trees.
Remove the Masking Paper from the small tree and the Trees for Sale sign.

Step 4-Stamping the Scene

Use Memento Ink to stamp the string of lights. Color the lights with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers.
Stamp some snowflakes and the paw prints in Balmy Blue Ink.
On a scrap of Basic White card stock, stamp the dog in Soft Suede Ink. Use the Stampin’ Write Basic Black Marker to add some eyes, a nose and some spots to the dog. Fussy cut. (I cut the bottom jaw off because my dog did not look right with the jaw on)
Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the dog to the scene.
Stamp the sentiment “Christmas Greetings” in Real Red Ink on the 3/4 x 3 inch Basic White card stock strip.

Step 5-Stamping the Inside

On the second Basic White card stock Fabulous Frame die cut, stamp “so very merry” in Real Red Ink.
Stamp the snowflakes in Balmy Blue Ink.

Step 6-Assembling the Inside

Assemble the inside of the card. Adhere one of the Shaded Spruce card stock embossed with the Whimsical Woodland embossing folder to the inside of the Mint Macaron card stock card base.
Adhere the stamped Basic White card stock.
Complete the inside by adhering the Real Red card stock Fabulous Frame die cut.

Step 7-Assembling the Card Front

Adhere the second embossed Shaded Spruce card stock card piece to the front of the Mint Macaron card stock card base.
Adhere the stamped Basic White card stock scene to the card front.
Add the Real Red card stock Fabulous Frame die cut.
Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment.
Embellish with the Real Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Hello and welcome to our Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for July 2022. I’m so happy you are joining me today! This blog hop is full of ideas and creative inspiration. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world taking part in training to help us build a successful Stampin’ Up! business and reach some goals we have set. Participating in a monthly Blog Hop is one goal that I have.

My card for the Blog Hop today is made using the Splendid Thoughts stamp set, Splendid Day Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Twigs & Sprigs Embossing Folder.

Measurements & Supplies

Petal Pink Card Stock (CS) card base: 4 1/4 x 11 inches scored at 5 1/2 inches.
Petal Pink CS:1 5/8 x 2 5/8 inches and a 1 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch strip for the sentiment
Soft Sea Foam CS: 1 5/8 x 5 1/8 inches
Splendid Day Designer Series Paper (DSP): Soft Sea Foam pattern: 1 1/2 x 5 inches and Fresh Freesia pattern: 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches
Soft Sea Foam 3/8 inch Seam Binding Ribbon: enough to make one small bow and to wrap around the Soft Sea Foam CS.
Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Versamark Ink
Copper Emboss Powder
Heat Tool
Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Marker
Twigs & Sprigs Embossing Folder

Instructions

Stamp the “Thank You” sentiment (from the Pansy Patch stamp set) onto the strip of Petal Pink CS in Versamark Ink. Cover with the Copper Emboss Powder. Shake off the excess. Use the Heat Tool to set.
Use the smooth oval on the Double Oval Punch to punch out the sentiment. Set aside.
Emboss the front of the Petal Pink CS card base with the Twigs & Sprigs Embossing Folder.
Adhere the Soft Sea Foam Splendid Day DSP to the Soft Sea Foam CS.
Wrap the Soft Sea Foam 3/8 inch Seam Binding Ribbon around the Soft Sea Foam DSP/CS piece, about 1 inch up from the bottom.
Adhere the Fresh Freesia Splendid Day DSP to the Petal Pink CS.
Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the Soft Sea Foam CS/DSP card piece to the left side of the front of the Petal Pink CS card base.
Use Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the right side of the Fresh Freesia DSP/Petal Pink CS and adhesive on the back of the left side. Adhere this to the front of the card base.
Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment to the Fresh Freesia DSP.
Add the Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding bow with Mini Glue Dots.
Color the ladybug on the Soft Sea Foam DSP with the Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Marker. Apply 3 of the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the ladybug’s back.
Add more Champagne Rhinestones if desired.

I can’t believe it is July already! This year is flying by for me! This Stampin’ Up® Hello Ladybug Thank You card is a perfect thank you card for July picnics and barbeques.

The Stampin’ Up!® Hello Ladybug stamp set has several fun ladybug images. There is a coordinating Ladybug Builder Punch.

Let’s make this card!

Measurements and Supplies

Basic White Card Stock(CS) card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches with a score line at 4 1/4 inches
Real Red CS: 5 1/4 x 4 inches and 3/4 x 4 1/4 inches
Basic Black CS: 5 1/8 x 3 7/8 inches and 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches
Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper (DSP): 3 x 3 3/4 inches
Sweetest Christmas DSP: 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 inches for both designs and 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches of the polka dot pattern
Basic White CS: 3/4 x 2 1/2 inches for the sentiment and extra for stamping the ladybug, flowers and leaf
Ink: Memento, Real Red and Parakeet Party
Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels
I also used the Label Me Fancy Punch to round the end of the sentiment strip

Instructions

Tip #1: to get the best results with stamping a stamp with a large solid area like the ladybug and leaf, use the Stamparatus so you can stamp over the image a few times.

Tip #2: Be mindful of how you position the stamps for the ladybug body and wings on the Basic White CS so you can use the punch.

Stamp the body of the ladybug in Memento Ink onto Basic
White CS.
Using a second piece of Basic White CS stamp the ladybug wings in Real Red Ink. Use Memento Ink to stamp the spots.
On another piece of Basic White CS stamp the leaf in Parakeet Party Ink. You will need to Fussy Cut the leaf.
Use Real Red Ink to stamp the sentiment onto the 3/4 x 2 1/2 inch Basic White CS.
Insert the left end of the sentiment strip into the left side of the Label Me Fancy Punch to round the edge. Cut a banner edge on the right end.
Adhere the Real Red CS to the Basic White CS card base. Then adhere the Basic Black followed by the pieces of DSP.
To make the ladybug appear as though it were flying, use a Stampin’ Dimensional on the tail end and adhesive on the head.
For the wings, use the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the tips and adhere the top of the wings to the ladybug body with adhesive.
The leaf is adhered by using a Stampin’ Dimensional on the base and adhering the tip with adhesive.
Adhere the sentiment.
Apply the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels as desired.

For the inside of the card, adhere the Real Red CS, Sweetest Christmas DSP and Basic Black strips as shown. Stamp the trio of flowers in Real Red Ink and Fussy Cut.
