Fitting Florets Fall Birthday Card

The new Fitting Florets Collection is so versatile! Today I will be putting together a fall birthday card. Check out my previous blog, which is a Blog Hop, to see more cards made with the Fitting Florets Collection.

I just love these beautiful fall colors- Merry Merlot, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze. The pretty butterfly and chrysanthemum paper is the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper (DSP) in the 2022 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog. Let me show you how to make your own card.

Measurements

  • Merry Merlot cardstock (cs) card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches with a score line at 4 1/4 inches.
  • Merry Merlot cs: 4 x 5 inches for the Framed Florets Dies frame
  • Crushed Curry cs: 4 x 5 1/4 inches and 2 x 2 inches to cut out 2 leaves.
  • Cajun Craze cs: 2 x 2 inches to cut out 2 leaves
  • Mossy Meadow cs: 3 x 5 inches for the leaf sprigs and leaves
  • Basic White cs: 4 x 5 1/4 inches for inside of the card and 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches for the sentiment.
  • Butterfly and chrysanthemum design of the Rustic Harvest DSP.

Supplies

Instructions

  1. Use the Framed Florets Dies to create the butterfly piece by cutting as shown below from the Rustic Harvest DSP.

2. Cut a frame from Merry Merlot cs. Stamp the sentiment in Merry Merlot Ink onto 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch Basic White cs. Use the 3rd up from the smallest stitched circle in the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the sentiment.

3. Cut out the leaves as shown above from the Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze cs.

4. Stamp the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Basic White cs as shown below. Adhere this to the inside of the Merry Merlot cs card base.

5. Run the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Crushed Curry cs through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Timeworn 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere this piece to the front of the Merry Merlot cs card base.

5. Adhere the butterfly piece to the center of the card front. Then adhere the Merry Merlot cs frame around the butterfly piece. Next adhere the two Mossy Meadow leaf sprigs as shown.

6. Finish up by adhering the remaining leaves. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment. Add some Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls.

Voila! You have a beautiful fall birthday card!

Have a most lovely day!

Stampin’ Up!® Friendly Hello #SimpleStamping Birthday Card

Hello! There is exciting news in the Stampin’ Up! world! The 2022 Stampin’ Up! January to June Mini Catalog is live! And it is Sale-a-bration Time again! Today I am using a FREE Sale-a-bration item for my Friendly Hello #SimpleStamping Birthday Card!

What is Sale-a-bration? Sale-a-bration is a promotion by Stampin’ Up! during which you earn FREE product for a qualifying order. In the USA it is $50 for most of the FREE product. There are two selections that require a $100 order. View a PDF of the 2022 Mini Catalog HERE and the Sale-a-bration Brochure HERE. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email at theresastreasures.az@gmail.com.

I have a follow up on a post I did on the In The Moment stamp set and different coloring techniques. The most popular technique was the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Marker! I must admit that I really love to color with the Blends.

Ok, now for the Friendly Hello #SimpleStamping Birthday Card!

The #SimpleStamping Challenge for this month was to create a card using just Stamps, Ink and paper-and to use a Sale-a-bration product.

This card is made with the Friendly Hello Stamp Set + Friendly Hello 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper (DSP) which is available as a set with an order of $100 USD.

Here is how I did it:

Measurements

Friendly Hello #SimpleStamping Birthday Card:

  • Basic White Card Stock (CS): 4 x 5 1/4 inches and 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches
  • Friendly Hello DSP: 4 x 5 1/4 inches
  • Pale Papaya CS card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches with a score line at 4 1/4 inches.

Ink colors:

  • Pale Papaya
  • Granny Apple Green
  • Fresh Freesia
  • Balmy Blue
  • Evening Evergreen

Stamping

Starting with the inside of the card, stamp the flowers in Pale Papaya ink onto the 4 x 5 1/2 inch Basic White CS. Next stamp in Granny Apple Green ink using the leaf sprig. Finish with the Fresh Freesia ink and the small berry bunch. Set aside.

Now we will make the front of the card. Using Balmy Blue Ink, stamp the image of the bird on the branch in the center of the 3 1/3 x 4 3/4 inch Basic White CS. Next stamp the sentiment “Hope you have the BEST BIRTHDAY” in Evening Evergreen Ink in the lower left-hand corner. Using the Pale Papaya Ink stamp the flowers around the bird. Now stamp in Granny Apple Green Ink using the sprig of leaves.

To complete the front of the card, stamp in Fresh Freesia Ink using the small berries.

Assembling the Card

First adhere the stamped inside panel to the inside of the Pale Papaya CS card base.

Next adhere the stamped card front to the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Friendly Hello DSP.

Adhere the stamped front/DSP panel to the front of the card base. Voila! Super simple and very beautiful! Perfect for the #SimpleStamping Challenge!

Stampin’ Up!® Sneak Peek-Tulip Fields

I have another sneak peek from the upcoming 2022 Stampin’ Up! Jan-June Mini Catalog- Tulip Fields! This is an awesome stamp set which is part of the Flowering Fields Suite. This suite includes: 2 stamp sets, 2 die sets, the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper (DSP), Evening Evergreen Windowpane Check Ribbon, and Brushed Brass Butterflies!! If you want this Suite now you can get it in your Starter Kit when you join my Stamping Gems Team! More info on that will follow. Otherwise, the Flowering Fields Suite will be available for purchase on January 4, 2022.

It is so much fun to put scenes like this one together! I encourage you to take some time to let your creativity bubble up and see what your scene might look like!

Measurements for Sneak Peek-Tulip Fields

Sneak Peek-Tulip Fields

  • Pear Pizzazz Card Stock (CS): 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches with a score line at 4 1/4 inches
  • Basic White CS: two at 4 x 5 1/4 inches and a 1/2 x 3 inch strip.

Stamping the Tulip Fields

The first step is to use Memento Black Ink and stamp the windmill onto one of the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Basic White CS. Also stamp a windmill onto a sticky note. (Full sticky notes work best and can be found on Amazon HERE.) The windmill will be used as a Mask.

Fussy cut the windmill stamped on the sticky note paper. Set aside. Now draw a light pencil line for the horizon and another 2 lines for the path away from the door of the wind mill.

The Masking Technique. First put a strip of sticky paper above the horizon. This is the first mask. Use Poppy Parade Ink to stamp the triangle of tulips as shown.

Cover the path with sticky note paper. Stamp in Daffodil Delight Ink to one side of the path. Move the sticky paper and then stamp on the other side of the path.

Use the sticky note paper to help you stamp a row of tulips in Mango Melody Ink between the Poppy Parade tulips and the Daffodil Delight tulips. To finish, complete the row of flowers up to the horizon stamping in Rich Razzleberry Ink.

Blending the Sky

Now move the sticky note strip so it is under the horizon. Apply the fussy cut windmill.

Use the Stampin’ Up! Blending Brushes to make a nice sky. Start with the Balmy Blue Ink. Move the Blending Brush in a circular motion on the ink pad. Then using the same circular motion, gradually apply the ink to your card front. I liked that the sky turned out a little blotchy. Next use Pacific Point Ink just around the edges to help the scene “Pop”!

Coloring the Windmill

Remove the sticky strip and the sticky windmill. Save the windmill to use again later. Use the Stampin’ Write Markers in Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede to color the windmill.

More Stamping

Reapply the sticky strip mask to define the path from the door of the windmill. Use Pear Pizzazz Ink and the triangle of tulip stamp to complete the path.

Tip: I used the Stampin’ Write Markers to fill in some small white spaces between the different colors of tulips.

A trick for stamping the tree in two colors. First ink up the tree in Pear Pizzazz ink. Then carefully ink up the trunk using the corner of the Soft Suede ink pad. Stamp the tree on the horizon.

Add some more smaller trees on the horizon.

Finishing Touches

Use Pear Pizzazz Ink to stamp the sentiment “happy birthday” from the Timeless Tulips stamp set onto a 1/2 inch strip of Basic White CS. Cut the right-hand end to look like a banner.

Another coordinating stamp set, Timeless Tulips, is in the 2021-22 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. With the Rich Razzleberry Ink, stamp a few of the small tulips on the second 4 x 5 1/4 inch Basic White CS. Then stamp one in Mango Melody Ink and three in Poppy Parade Ink. Finish the stamping by adding some leaves in Pear Pizzazz Ink.

To create the clouds you will need the White Stampin’ Chalk Marker. First stamp the clouds in Balmy Blue Ink. Let them dry. Then use the Chalk Marker to add dimension to the clouds.

Assembling the Card

Adhere the windmill card piece to the front of the Pear Pizzazz CS card base. Then adhere the larger tulip piece to the inside of the card base. That’s all there is to it!

Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the “happy birthday” sentiment and Voila! You have a beautiful little scene! That was so much fun! I just love how it turned out!

Stampin’ Up! Eden’s Garden Fun Fold Friday Birthday Card

Hello and Happy Friday! I am so happy to be so close to the weekend! Today I am sharing my Stampin’ Up! Eden’s Garden Fun Fold Friday Birthday Card! Yes, Fun Fold Friday is back!

Disclaimer: Today’s card is a little challenging. I am using few techniques. Let me know if you have any comments or questions about the instructions.

Today I have a very special card to share. My neighbor, who I have know for about 23 years, is turning 98! I am so excited for her! I am giving her this card to help her celebrate! Happy Birthday Jane!

The Card Base

Using the Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer I created the card base in Soft Succulent Card Stock (CS) with the measurements as shown above. All of the lines are scored except the two vertical lines at 1 1/4 inches and 4 1/4 inches which run from 1 inch to 5 1/4 inches in length. You will need to cut the paper along those lines. Fold as shown above.

Measurements

The first layer is Evening Evergreen CS. You will need two 1 x 3 inch pieces, a 3 x 2 3/4 inch piece and a
5 1/4 x 3/4 inch piece. The patterned paper is some of the Ever Eden Cotton Paper that I embossed with Gold Emboss Powder. You can see how to make your own patterned paper HERE. Each measurement is 1/8 inch smaller than the Evening Evergreen CS. You will need two 7/8 x 2 7/8 inch pieces, a 2 7/8 x 2 5/8 inch piece and a 5 1/8 x 5/8 inch piece. If 1/8 inches drives you nuts, you could decrease the Evening Evergreen CS measurements by 1/4 inch instead. The border would be a bit thicker.

The Gold Foil circle is from the Tasteful Labels Dies. The square is made using Partial Die Cutting with a die from the Scalloped Contours Dies. The small flower sprigs are in the Eden Dies. The center photo shows the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set die cut with the Layered Circle Dies. The leaves and berries image is from the Eden’s Garden stamp set. This is fussy cut.

Putting the Card Base Together

The first step is to adhere the Gold Embossed Ever Eden Cotton Paper to the Evening Evergreen CS. I used a thin layer of the Multipurpose Liquid Glue spread with my finger on the back of the Embossed Cotton Paper. Then adhere these card pieces to the corresponding spot on the card base.

Adhere the 2 7/8 x 2 5/8 inch Gold Embossed Ever Eden Cotton Paper to the 3 x 2 3/4 inch Evening Evergreen CS. Follow by using Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the Gold Foil scalloped piece. Adhere this card piece to the center of the card base.

Adding The Decor

Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the stamped leaves and berries card piece to the center of the Gold Foil scalloped square. Adhere the “Happy Birthday” sentiment to the Gold Foil circle. Then use Stampin’ Dimensionals on the bottom half to adhere it to the front of the card base. Note: I put the Stampin’ Dimensionals only in the center of the stamped leaves and berries piece so that I can insert the flower sprigs around the edges.

Insert several of the Evening Evergreen CS flower sprigs around the sentiment and around the leaves and berries image. Add the Gold Foil flower sprigs.

Add a 5 1/4 x 3 inch Very Vanilla CS to the inside of the card. I stamped a few leaves at the edge in Evening Evergreen ink.

Bling!

Now for some Bling! The Garden Gems are really interesting. They appear to be Evening Evergreen with gold accents, but when photographed turn blue and red in places! Very cool!

Voila! You have a very special birthday card that is a little challenging but worth the effort!

It was so nice to have you drop by today. I hope you try this card out. This particular fun fold lends itself to many great cards!

Stampin’ Up!® #SimpleStamping Birthday With Amaryllis Abloom

This lovely birthday card is actually very simple to make with the Amaryllis Abloom stamp set. This set is available when you Host a Party and reach a sales goal of $150 USD. If you would like to host an online Stampin’ Up! party, let me know at theresastreasures.az@gmail.com

Stamping

The card base is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch Poppy Parade card stock that is scored at 4 1/4 inches. Fold the card base in half at the score line. Use Poppy Parade ink to stamp the images randomly over the front panel.

Next stamp onto a 2 1/2 x 4 inch Basic White cardstock. Start with the amaryllis. Use Garden Green for the leaves and stem and Poppy Parade for the amaryllis. Place the stamp on the ink pad carefully so that the Poppy Parade ink is only on the amaryllis and the Garden Green ink is only on the stem and leaves. Huff on it to moisten the ink and then stamp. Remember to use your Stampin’ Pierce Mat since this is a Photopolymer stamp to get the best stamped images.

Add a “Happy Birthday” sentiment. This one is from the Pansy Patch stamp set, but you could use any “Happy Birthday” sentiment. Add the diamond design under the sentiment with Garden Green ink.

Stamp a design onto a 5 1/4 x 4 inch Basic White card stock for the inside panel.

Assembling the card

Adhere the stamped Basic White card stock card piece to the center of the front of the Poppy Parade card base. Adhere the inside panel to the inside of the Poppy Parade card base.

Voila! This is a great #simplestamping card! I hope you give it a try.

If you are interested in earning this set, please send me an email and we can get you set up to host an online party with your friends. Contact me at theresastreasures.az@gmail.com

Cardz4Guyz Challenge #278- Things With Tails and Stampin’ Up!® Turtle Friends with the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Technique

I have such an exciting and fun card to share today! The cute Turtle Friends stamp set and Turtle Punch come together with the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Technique for this cute card.

Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Technique

What you will need to do this technique is 99% Isopropyl Alcohol, a plastic dish for the alcohol, a paint brush, a straw, vellum card stock and the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. I recommend the Stampin’ Up! brand of vellum because it is thicker than the other brand I tried. The thicker vellum doesn’t curl as much when it dries.

I cut my vellum card stock to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. Using a light, medium and dark color of Stampin’ Blends Marker, I randomly colored in blotches to fill the paper. Here I am using Dark Fresh Freesia, Dark Highland Heather and Dark Blackberry Bliss. (For the turtle card, I used Dark Pool Party, Dark Bermuda Bay and Dark Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers.)

I filled in the spaces for this piece with the Dark Misty Moonlight. Next, dip the paint brush in the dish with the alcohol in it, and then dab it onto the vellum card stock. You can blow through the straw to help the alcohol spread, making neat patterns with the ink. I used my Stampin’ Up! Heat Tool to spread the alcohol and also to dry it. Use the low setting so you don’t melt the vellum.

When the vellum card stock is dried, use a glue stick or spread the Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue in a thin continuous layer on the back. Adhere to a piece of Basic White Card Stock. Now you just get the other basic pieces for a card together and Viola! you have a fun and cool card!

Back to the Turtle Card

The Scalloped Contour Dies make the waves on the Vellum Alcohol Technique card piece, as well as on a 5 x 1 1/2 inch Misty Moonlight Card Stock piece. These were adhered together slightly layered, then adhered to a 5 x 3 3/4 inch Pool Party Card Stock embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. Next, the Pool Party card piece was adhered to the 5 1/4 x 4 inch Misty Moonlight Card Stock. To finish, adhere the Misty Moonlight/Pool Party card piece to the front of a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch Basic White Card Stock card base.

Now for the turtles. The images were stamped onto Basic White Card Stock in Memento ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers in Dark Pool Party, Light Bermuda Bay and Light Misty Moonlight. Bermuda Bay ink was used to stamp the turtle’s shell. The little bird and the “Happy Birthday” sentiment were stamped in Misty Moonlight ink. I used a scrap of the Alcohol Technique card piece on the inside.

Add a few blue rhinestones from the Holiday Basic Rhinestone Jewels and Voila! You have a fun and cute birthday card for your favorite little guy!

Thanks for stopping by today. Please visit the Cardz4Guyz blog to see other great card ideas with the theme # 278-Things With Tails.

Stampin’ Up!® Happy Birthday with Happy Thoughts Friday Fun Fold

Hello! I have a wonderful Happy Birthday with Happy Thoughts card for you today for your Friday Fun Fold. The Happy Thoughts stamp set is a great beginner set that is in the 2021 January-June Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog. There is a sentiment to put on the front of the card and a longer sentiment for the inside of the card to include: Happy Birthday, Thank You, Congratulations, and Thinking of You. A very versatile stamp set!

The gorgeous Designer Series Paper (DSP) is part of the Fine Art Floral Suite and is called-you guessed it- Fine Art Floral DSP. The little ladybug embellishments are from the Dandy Garden Suite, which I will talk more about later. This lovely handmade birthday card is fairly easy to make, so let’s get started!

Measurements

Measurements: Mossy Meadow Card Stock (CS) card base: 4 1/4 x 8 inches with a score line at 2 1/2 inches; Whisper White CS: 2 3/8 x 4 inches and 2 1/2 x 4 inches (for the oval die cut); Mossy Meadow CS: 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches with a score line at 1/2 inch and 2 3/4 x 4 inches (for the oval die cut); and the Fine Art Floral DSP: 4 x 5 1/4 inches and 2 1/4 x 4 inches.

Stamping

I used the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut out the 2 stitched ovals, one from the 2 1/2 x 4 inch Whisper White CS and one from the 2 3/4 x 4 inch Mossy Meadow CS. Next, stamp the sentiment “Happy Birthday” in Mossy Meadow ink onto the Whisper White CS stitched oval. Follow with stamping the inside sentiment in the Mossy Meadow ink onto the 2 3/8 x 4 inch Whisper White CS.

Preparing the Card Base

On the opposite end to the scored end, cut a banner edge. The first cut should be in the center. The second cut is from one corner to the top of the center cut. The third cut is from the other corner to the top of the center cut. Viola! A perfect banner edge every time!

Lay the Mossy Meadow CS card base on the table with the short end on the left. Position the card piece you just cut a banner edge on with the 1/2 inch score line along the right-hand edge of the Fine Art Floral DSP. That will be on the inside of the card base. The Fine Art Floral DSP is just laid down for positioning. Do not adhere the DSP yet. Adhere the 1/2 inch portion of the banner-edged card piece to the inside of the Mossy Meadow CS card base.

Now you may adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Fine Art Floral DSP to the inside of the Mossy Meadow CS card base. Follow by adhering the 2 1/4 x 4 inch piece of Fine Art Floral DSP to the card front. Note: These 2 designs are opposite sides of the same piece of DSP.

Adding the Sentiments

Now you can fold the banner-edged card piece across the card front to see how the card closes. Next you will need to position and adhere the sentiment card piece so that it lies under the banner-edged card piece when the card is closed.

Adhere the “Happy Birthday” Whisper White CS oval to the Mossy Meadow CS oval. In order to give the card some dimension, apply Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the Mossy Meadow CS oval.

Finishing Up

To complete the card, adhere the sentiment piece to the card front. Then use Mini Glue Dots to adhere 3 of the Ladybug Trinkets to the card front. Finish the card by adhering a bow, tied with the Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim, just under the sentiment.

Viola! You have a wonderful Fun Fold to send someone Birthday Wishes!

Art Gallery Simple Stamping Birthday Card

Today is the day the new 2021 January-June Stampin’ Up! catalog goes live! The Art Gallery stamp set is great for this simple stamping Birthday card. The set is a two-step stamp which allows you to add dimension to your stamped image.

This beautiful simple stamping Birthday card is made with Merry Merlot and Flirty Flamingo ink. The Art Gallery stamp set has a variety of sentiments including: thank you, congratulations, good luck, sorry, best wishes, I miss you, and I’m thinking of you. This is a great stamp set for a beginner stamper since there are lovely images and a variety of sentiments.

Measurements

Measurements: Whisper White Card Stock (CS) card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches with a score line at 4 1/4 inches; Merry Merlot CS: 4 x 5 1/4 inches and Whisper White CS: 3 3/4 x 5 inches.

Stamping

Begin with the Merry Merlot ink and stamp the sentiment “Happy Birthday” as shown onto the 3 3/4 x 5 inch Whisper White CS. Switch to the Flirty Flamingo ink and stamp the large flower with less detail to the left of the sentiment.

Continuing with the Flirty Flamingo ink, apply ink carefully to the flowers on the bunch of flowers stamp. Try not to get ink on the stem and leaf.

Now carefully apply Old Olive ink to the leaf and then the stem.

Huff onto the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp the image on the right side of the Whisper White CS card piece.

Going back to the Flirty Flamingo ink, apply ink to the flowers. Stamp off the edge of the card piece to fill in the space between the first 2 flower stamps. Leave space under the larger flower for the stem and leaf.

Apply more Flirty Flamingo ink to the bunch of flowers and stamp off the edge above the initial bunch of flowers.

Returning to the Old Olive ink, stamp the leaves and stem under the larger flower.

Here is how the card piece looks at this point. Now we will add some dimension and interest.

Two-Step Stamping

Bringing in the Merry Merlot ink, apply ink to the more detailed large flower. Stamp off before stamping onto the card piece. The image is meant to be a little off but there are some landmarks that match up. It doesn’t need to be precise as it is supposed to show a watercolor effect.

Sticking with the Merry Merlot ink, apply ink to the smaller detailed flower and stamp once in the center of the large flower. Follow by stamping on top of each of the smaller flower images. It is interesting to see how this makes the card piece more interesting to look at.

Putting the Card Together

To finish the card, adhere the stamped card piece to the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Merry Merlot CS, then to the front of the Whisper White CS card base.

Viola! That is all there is to this card! You could make a bunch of these with different colors and different sentiments. I like to have cards on hand to cover any occasion so I don’t have to rush to make one when a situation arises. The Art Gallery sentiments would make a great collection of all occasion cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by. My plan over the next few months is to post a simple stamping card every Tuesday and continue to post a Fun Fold Card on Fridays. I would like to add another post on Wednesday. Do you have a preference for what I should post? Let me know what you would like by commenting below. Thanks in advance for you suggestions.

Here is the card for today. The lovely Flowers for Every Season DSP is paired with the Jar of Flowers stamp to match! Let’s get started!

Stamp the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Shaded Spruce* ink onto one of the 3 1/2 x 2 1/4 inch Whisper White CS. Use the Timeless Label Punch to punch out the sentiment. (*I have used Shaded Spruce ink in this blog because the Just Jade ink was not available yet. The Just Jade ink can now be purchased and should be used in place of the Shaded Spruce.)

One really cool thing about the Jar of Flowers stamp set is that several pieces are reversible! First stamp the outline of the bowl in Balmy Blue ink onto the other 3 1/2 x 2 1/4 inch Whisper White CS. Flip the stamp over. Stamp the background color for the bowl in Balmy Blue by first Stamping Off on scrap paper, then on the card piece. That is so smart!

I used Smoky Slate ink to stamp the bunch of flowers after first Stamping Off onto the scrap paper. I used a sticky note as a Mask to shorten the flower stems. The stems are Stamped Off and stamped in Shaded Spruce ink.

I am going to use the Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils to color the bunch of flowers. However, there is not a matching green Watercolor Pencil. I used a Blender Pen to add a light coloring of Shaded Spruce ink to the stems.

My goal was to try and match the coloring of the bunch of flowers to those flowers on the Flowers For Every Season DSP I had chosen for the card. I colored on top of my new catalog to keep the pencil pressure soft. The blue is the new In Color Misty Moonlight. To match the color with the Watercolor Pencils available I first colored the flowers lightly with the Basic Gray then with the Night Of Navy Watercolor Pencils.

I added some shading with a combination of a little more Basic Gray and a little more Night of Navy until I was satisfied. I used the Cajun Craze Watercolor Pencil for the larger flower, only coloring in the center of each petal.

To smooth out the Watercolor Pencil I went over the flowers with the Blender Pen.

The leaves were colored with the Blender Pen and the Shaded Spruce ink. The berries are colored in Melon Mambo Watercolor Pencil and the Pussy Willows are colored in Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil. Finally, I added some more shading to the center of the blue flowers with the Night of Navy Watercolor Pencil.

I added some “water” in the bowl with the Balmy Blue Watercolor Pencil.

Punch out a label from the Just Jade CS with the Timeless Label Punch. Set aside. Adhere the Just Jade CS to the front of the 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch Whisper White CS card base after you have used the Bone Folder to make a crisp fold at the 4 1/4 inch score line.

Adhere the Flowers for Every Season DSP to the Just Jade CS on the card front.

Adhere the Just Jade CS Timeless Label to the back of the sentiment label, slightly offset. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the watercolored bunch of flowers and the sentiment to the card front.

Add a bow tied from the Misty Moonlight In Color 1/4 inch Ribbon with a Glue Dot. I plan to make a new video on how to tie bows. I tried today, but it did not work out. Soon I hope.

Now for the Bling! The Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels are perfect as there are several colors to choose from. I added some light blue rhinestones to the blue flowers in the bunch of flowers, dark green around the sentiment and dark blue rhinestones on the Flowers For Every Season DSP. I love lots of Bling! There is more Bling to be had for this card!

Wink of Stella!! This glitter brush can add a light sparkle to your card! But how to start using it? It comes with a black ring between the two barrels. Remove the black ring and put the two barrels back together.

Squeeze the barrel where it says “PUSH” until a little glitter is seen. Brush onto a scrap paper to get the flow going and get a feel for how it works.

Brush the glitter onto the water until you like the sparkle!

And Viola! you have a lovely floral card to send to someone for their Birthday! You could also use a different sentiment for any occasion. This card would be great for a variety of occasions!

Thanks for being here today. I appreciate you!
