Mountain Air with 2022-24 In Colors for the Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop – June 2022- Scene and Color Inspiration

Hello everyone!  I’m so glad that you’re visiting today and hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop for the first time! We are sharing inspiration from this lovely Scene & Color Challenge. There are several of us hopping today. You will find the list to follow along at the end of my blog post.

I am inspired by both the scene and the colors. The Mountain Air stamp set is so fun to create with! The flowers are from the Flowering Rain Boots stamp set. The color for the sky and foreground is achieved with the Blending Brushes using the 2022-2024 In Colors.

Creating the card yourself

The first step to creating this card is to use the Stamparatus to stamp the mountain on a 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 inch Basic White card stock. I used a Sponge Dauber to apply the Tahitian Tide & Starry Sky Ink to the mountain stamp. It is much easier to get the desired effect by using the Stamparatus! The clouds are Stamped Off using Starry Sky Ink.

Next I used the new Masking Paper to cover the mountain and clouds. To begin creating the sky, use a Blending Brush to apply a hint of Sweet Sorbet Ink. Then blend in the Tahitian Tide and Starry Sky Ink. Remove the Masking Paper from the clouds but keep the mountain covered.

The grass is colored with the Parakeet Party Ink. I tried to apply more ink just under the mountain to create a shadow. The leaves for the tulips are stamped in Parakeet Party Ink. The shadows on the leaves are enhanced with the Stampin’ Write Marker in Parakeet Party.

The tulips are stamped in Sweet Sorbet Ink on Sweet Sorbet card stock. Enhance the lines with the Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Write Marker. I applied a small strip of a Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the top of each tulip and then used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the base of each tulip. This resulted in a 3D effect. The 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots to bling up the tulips.

Stamp the sentiment in Starry Sky Ink. Then use the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut it out. Color the edges with a Sponge Dauber and Tahitian Tide Ink. I made the bow using the the Metallic Woven Ribbon in Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party.

I hope this card has inspired you and hopefully brightened your day.  There are other amazing inspirations for you to see as you hop along this blog hop. Please see the list below. You are at Theresa’s Treasures written by Theresa McEntee. Be sure not to miss anyone!

I love having time now to create and craft, so much so that I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I have been a demonstrator more than 5 years and am having a blast! Not only do I get to craft, I meet new friends from all over the world! Crafting gives me something positive to do and to share with others. I love to have my monthly Zoom Card Making Classes so others can craft with me. I have so much fun creating the cards for others to make! My blog was initially geared toward the beginner stamper in order to help others get started stamping on their own at home. If you need information to get started, look for my first blogs. My more recent posts have been cards and projects for Blog Hops and challenges. Stop by to see my projects and those of folks from around the world! Add more creativity to your life today!

  1. Hi Theresa, I’m so impressed that you used both the image and colors for this challenge when designing your card. It’s beautiful.
