Wildflower Designs Color Combo for the Inspirations in Ink June 2024 Blog Hop

Welcome! Thank you for visiting Theresa’s Treasures Paper Crafts! I am Theresa, a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Arizona, USA. Today is the monthly Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop! I am excited to be hopping with such talented demonstrators today. Be sure to check out everyone’s Color Combo projects. When you are ready, you may order from my Online Store HERE to get the supplies needed to make your own cards.

I had been wanting to use the Wildflower Designs Bundle. This proved to be a great set for the Color Combo of Blueberry Bushel, Lemon Lolly and Granny Apple Green.

I also really enjoyed playing with the dies. There were several that cut out shapes I hadn’t expected. i used these shapes to create this elegant card.

Measurements

  • Basic White cardstock card base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
  • Basic White cardstock: 3 3/4″ x 5″ for the inside, 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ to emboss, 4″ x 5 1/2″ to die cut the larger hexagon, 2 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ to die cut the smaller hexagon and 1 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ for the sentiment
  • Lemon Lolly cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/2″ to die cut the hexagon
  • Blueberry Bushel cardstock: 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ to die cut the scalloped hexagon

Supplies

  • Stamp Set: Wildflower Designs
  • Dies: Wildflower Designs
  • Embossing Folder: Eyelet 3D
  • Ink: Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad and Stampin’ Write Markers in Blueberry Bushel, Lemon Lolly and Granny Apple Green
  • Embellishments: Rhinestone Basic Jewels
  • Ribbon: Iridescent 1/2″ Striped Trim

Instructions

  1. Die cut all of the pieces.
  2. Emboss the Basic White cardstock with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
  3. Adhere the Lemon Lolly cardstock hexagon to the embossed Basic White cardstock. Cut a 6 1/2″ piece of the Iridescent Striped Trim. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere to the back of the embossed cardstock. Adhere the embossed Basic White cs to the front of the Basic White cardstock card base.
  4. Use the Stampin’ Write Markers to apply ink to the flower images on the stamps. Use the side of the brush tip to get an even layer of ink on the stamp. Huff on the stamp to moisten it, then stamp the image on the Basic White cardstock.
  5. Adhere the inside Basic White cardstock card piece to the inside of the Basic White cardstock card base.

  1. Adhere the Blueberry Bushel cardstock scalloped hexagon to the Basic White cardstock hexagon. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere this to the card front.
  2. Also use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the small Basic White cardstock hexagon with the stamped flower image on it to the center of the underlying larger Basic White cardstock hexagon.
  3. Use the Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad and stamp the sentiment onto the Basic White cardstock. Use Paper Snips to fussy cut the sentiment. Apply small pieces of the Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and adhere to the card front.
  4. Embellish with the Rhinestone Basic Jewels as desired. I actually had a bow and another rhinestone on this card. Somehow, between finishing the card and photographing it, the rhinestone and bow fell off. Oh well! Lol!

Hello, my name is Theresa. I have 4 children and a wonderful husband of 32 years. I am a retired Family Physician. I love having time now to create and craft, so much so that I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I have been a demonstrator more than 8 years and am having a blast! Not only do I get to craft, I meet new friends from all over the world! Crafting gives me something positive to do and to share with others. I love to have my monthly Zoom Card Making Classes so others can craft with me. I have so much fun creating the cards for others to make! My blog was initially geared toward the beginner stamper in order to help others get started stamping on their own at home. If you need information to get started, look for my first blogs. My more recent posts have been cards and projects for Blog Hops and challenges. Stop by to see my projects and those of folks from around the world! Add more creativity to your life today!
