Stampin’ Up!® In Bloom Baby Wipe Technique

Hello! Today I have an oldie but a goodie for you! Stampin’ Up!® In Bloom stamp set is great for the Baby Wipe Technique. This is a messy, but fun technique. This reminds me of tie-dyed t-shirts!

For today’s Baby Wipe Technique we will be using: Granny Apple Green, Magenta Madness, Gorgeous Grape and Pacific Point Stampin’ Ink Refills.

Measurements

Measurements: Basic White Card Stock (CS) card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches with a score line at 4 1/4 inches; Gorgeous Grape CS: 5 1/4 x 4 inches; and Basic White CS: 3 3/4 x 5 inches.

Preparing the Baby Wipe

You will need a Standard Stamp Case. Place 2 Baby Wipes folded in half, so there are 4 layers, into the stamp case.

The colors of Stampin’ Ink Refills: Gorgeous Grape, Magenta Madness, Pacific Point and Granny Apple Green.

I started with the Pacific Point ink. Add drops of each color until the Baby Wipe is covered with ink.

Stamping

The Stampin’ Up!® In Bloom stamp set is ideal for this technique because the stamps are solid.

Lay the stamps on the 3 3/4 x 5 inch Basic White CS as desired.

Pick up all of the stamps with the E Clear Block. Lay the stamps on the Baby Wipes. Let this stamps absorb the ink for about 10 seconds. You may tap the stamps on the ink a little, but too much will make the colors all muddy.

Let the stamps on the block lay on the # 3/4 x 5 inch Basic White CS for about 10 seconds to allow the paper to absorb the ink.

Remove the stamp and Viola! you have a unique and beautiful card ready to go!

Putting It All Together

Adhere the stamped card piece to the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Gorgeous Grape CS. You may also choose to use any of the other colors of ink to use for the background CS.

Use the Bone Folder to make a crisp fold in the Basic White CS card base at the 4 1/4 inch score line. Then adhere the stamped card piece to the front of the Basic White CS card base.

Viola! You have a beautiful and unique card to let someone know how amazing they are!

Thank you for stopping by for this technique today! I hope you will try it. It is lots of fun!
