Hold Onto Hope Easter Blessings

Wow! This Coronavirus Pandemic is so horrible! I imagine many are feeling a real test of their faith. One way for me to remain hopeful is to be creative. The Hold Onto Hope stamp set was very helpful to me for creating an Easter card.

I know some folks are without a postal service right now. One way to share your card is by doing it virtually. Make the card, write the handwritten greeting inside, then photograph it all and send it off via email, Instagram or Facebook.

I will be showing you 3 different versions of this card. The card is very simple but fun to do.

Measurements: Whisper White Card stock (CS): 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches scored at 4 1/4 inches and 3 1/2 x 2 3/4 inches; Highland Heather 5 1/4 x 3 inches; and Best Dressed Designer Series Paper (DSP): 4 3/4 x 3 inches.

In order for the cross to fit on the D block completely, I put it on the diagonal. I did the same for the flowers we will use after the cross.

Stamp the cross in Sahara Sand ink onto the 3 1/2 x 2 3/4 inch Whisper White CS. Stamp it a little towards the upper edge so you will have room for the sentiment under the cross.

To ink up the flowers I used the Stampin’ Write Markers in Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green. First color the leaves and vine with the Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Marker.

Color the little bunches of flowers with the Highland Heather Stampin’ Write Marker. Color the single flowers with the Gorgeous Grape Stampin’ Write Marker.

In order to moisten the ink, use your breath and huff onto the stamp. Then stamp it over the cross.

Stamp the “Easter Blessings” sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set just under the cross.

Use the Bone Folder to make a crisp fold at the 4 1/4 inch score line on the 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch Whisper White CS. Adhere the 5 1/4 x 3 inch Highland Heather CS to the left of the card front.

Adhere the Best Dressed DSP piece to the card front on the right side.

Apply Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the stamped cross piece.

Adhere the stamped cross piece to the card front.

And Viola! This is the first version of this card which is a very nice Easter card. However, you can “dress it up” a little with some embellishments.

The second version is one with the addition of a yellow bow using the 1/4 inch Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon. Also a very nice card.

And Viola! The final version, the most dressed up version, is with the addition of Gorgeous Grape Rhinestones on the Gorgeous Grape flowers. The rhinestones are in the Noble Peacock Rhinestone pack. Still a very simple card but this makes for a beautiful card to send to someone to wish them some Easter Blessings!
