Fun for Valentine’s Day is Meant to Be

Happy Valentine’s Day! I know it may be too late to send a Valentine’s Day card at this point, but I had fun making this one and wanted to share it with you. It is so simple!

This is the same photo as the last blog. Today I will go over how to make the card on the left.

This card uses the sentiment from a Stampin’ Up! stamp set in the Annual Catalog, Meant to Be.

Measurements: Whisper White card stock (CS): 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches scored at 4 1/4 inches and 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches; Real Red CS: 5 1/4 x 4 inches and 4 x 1 1/2 inches; From My Heart Designer Series Paper (DSP): 5 x 3 3/4 inches of the mosaic heart design, the red foil heart from the large foil heart design and a 3 3/4 x 1 1/4 inch strip of the foil dot design.

Stamp the sentiment “Happy Valentine’s Day” in Real Red ink onto the 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch Whisper White CS. This is a red rubber stamp so you do not need the Stampin’ Pierce mat.

The Heart Punch Pack contains two heart punches. One with a smooth edge and one with a scalloped edge.

Use the smooth-edged Heart Punch to punch the sentiment out.

Use the Scalloped-edged Heart Punch to punch out the red foil heart.

Apply Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the heart with the sentiment.

Adhere the sentiment heart to the scalloped red foil heart.

Adhere the mosaic heart pattern of the From My Heart DSP to the 5 1/4 x 4 inch Real
Red CS.

Adhere the 3 3/4 x 1 1/4 inch foil dot pattern of the From My Heart DSP to the 4 x 1 1/2 inch Real Red CS.

Adhere the 4 x 1 1/2 inch Real Red CS with the dotted design of the From My Heart DSP to the heart mosaic design piece.

Use your Bone Folder to fold the 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch Whisper White CS on the 4 1/4 inch score line. This will give you a nice crisp fold. This is your card base.

Adhere the mosaic heart card piece to the front of the Whisper White CS card base.

Apply Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the heart sentiment piece.

Adhere the heart sentiment piece to the card front.

Tie a bow with the Red Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon. Watch the video if needed.

Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow to the card front.

And Viola! you have a beautiful and simple Valentine’s Day card to share with someone you love!
