Kylie’s International Blog Highlights Gallery- May 2022- Stampin’ Up!® Natures Prints

Today I am excited to be participating in Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlight Gallery with Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world! The theme for the Gallery is “Thank You”.

The stamp set I am using today is a new one in the 2022-23 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog which you can now order from! Nature’s Prints stamp set comes with a coordinating Natural Prints Dies. When you order the two together as the Nature’s Prints Bundle you save 10%!

I used the Masking Technique combined with the Blending Brushes Technique in making this fun card!

Supplies and Measurements

  • Very Vanilla Card Stock (CS) card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 with a score line at 4 1/4 inches.
  • Very Vanilla CS: 4 x 5 1/4 inches
  • Ink: Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party, Daffodil Delight, Mossy Meadow and Orchid Oasis.
  • Linen Thread
  • Brushed Brass Butterflies
  • 2021-23 In Color Opal Rounds
  • Stampin’ Up! Masking Paper #155480 found on page 149 in the 2022-23 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog
  • Blending Brushes #153611 page 129

Instructions

  1. Apply the Masking Paper to the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Very Vanilla Card Stock (CS) so that you have a strip that is uncovered measuring 2 inches wide.
  2. Secure the card piece to your work space using Painters Tape over the Masking Paper.
  3. Use a Blending Brush with the Daffodil Delight Ink to make a subtle circle of color.
  4. Blend in the Tahitian Tide Ink to cover the top 3/4 of the card piece, and the Parakeet Party Ink to cover the bottom 1/4.
  5. Use the Orchid Oasis Ink to stamp the flowers. Use a Blender Pen to add color to the petals on the flowers.
  6. Stamp the smaller sprig in Parakeet Party Ink for the background.
  7. Use the Mossy Meadow Ink with the fern stamp to stamp along the bottom. Some of the fern are Stamped Off.
  8. Let dry then carefully remove the Masking Paper.
  9. Use the Mossy Meadow Ink to stamp the sentiment on the top left.
  10. Wrap the Linen Thread around the bottom of the card piece three times and then tie in a bow.
  11. Adhere the card piece to the front of the Very Vanilla CS card base.
  12. Add the Brushed Brass Butterflies as desired.
  13. Add the Pale Papaya Opal Rounds to the center of the flowers.
  14. Voila! That is it!
