Thank you for joining me for our Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Monthly Team Blog Hop! I am so excited that you could join us today! I know you will get lots of ideas and creative inspiration! My thank you cards are made with the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set. Be sure to visit all the blogs and see all the different thank you cards from around the world!
The theme for the cards today is: Thank You. I have many customers who support me and I like to send them a Thank You card every once in awhile. The following set of cards is for my fabulous customers which I will be sending to anyone who orders during the month of April.
I am so in love with the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set, and I just can’t get enough of coloring the beautiful butterflies with the Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers. Magenta Madness is the main color for this card because it is just so bright and happy!
I made this card extra sparkly with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush on the butterflies and the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the background.
The best way to stamp the larger Butterfly Brilliance stamp is with the Stamparatus. That way I am sure to get a nice, even and dark image every time. The large one piece die makes cutting out the individual butterflies such a breeze!

The Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and Brilliant wings dies are so versatile! I combined the butterflies with leaves from the Forever Fern stamp set. The “wood” background paper is the Natural Touch Specialty Paper.
I used the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers to color the butterflies. The colors I used are: Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and So Saffron. The “Hello” sentiment is from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.
I love Bling! so I added some of the Elegant Faceted Gems for a little sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by Theresa’s Treasures today. Please hop on to the next blog and be surprised by how versatile the Butterfly Bouquet Suite is!
Welcome to Wacky Wednesday Techniques! Today I am using the Stampin’ Up!® Butterfly Brilliance and Masking Technique. I will be using the Stamparatus and if you do not know what one is, I will show you how the Stamparatus makes stamping a large image very easy.
This gorgeous card is really easy to create. In addition to the Masking Technique, I also used the Tear and Tape with the Gilded Leafing Embellishment which is such an easy way to add a lot of sparkle!
Measurements:
Measurements: Mango Melody Card Stock (CS) card base: 4 1/4 x 11 inches with a score line at 5 1/2 inches; Basic White CS: 6 x 6 inches and 4 x 5 1/4 inches (not pictured).
Stamparatus
The Stamparatus is a stamp positioner tool which helps you stamp perfect crisp, dark images every time. The Stamparatus comes with 2 magnets which I have wrapped in Duct Tape to make it easier to pick them up off of the plate. The dark foam mat is to use with the Photopolymer Stamps. The Stamparatus also comes with 2 hinged plates. You may purchase yours HERE.
Stamping with the Stamparatus and the Masking Technique
To begin making this card, adhere some removable sticky note tape in a diagonal across the 6 x 6 inch Basic White CS. Place the Basic White CS on the Stamparatus as shown. Leave a little border around the paper.
Lay the Butterfly Brilliance stamp onto the paper where you want it. Close the hinged plate and press firmly so that the stamp will stick to it.
Open up the hinged plate. Apply the Memento Black ink using a stamp case underneath to help stabilize the opened plate. Close and press firmly all around. This stamp is lighter that I would like, so all I need to do is re-ink the stamp and close the hinge again. It keeps the stamp in perfect alignment.
When the butterflies are stamped dark enough, remove the 6 x 6 Basic White CS and peel the sticky note tape off.
I had started to color in the butterflies but realized I should stamp the sentiment first, in case it did not turn out right. The “Happy Birthday” sentiment is from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set. The sentiment is stamped in Memento Black ink.
Now use the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers to color the butterflies. These markers are great because they blend together and leave a nicely colored image without any lines where layers overlap. The colors I used are : So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Dark Pumpkin Pie.
Gilded Leafing Embellishment Technique
Apply a strip of Tear & Tape to the sides of the sentiment. This is where the Gilded Leafing will stick.
I store my Gilded Leafing in a box about 1/2 the size of a shoe box. I just lay the card on the Gilded Leafing and press down a little.
When you pull it out of the box there will be a lot of Gilded Leafing on the card piece. Just brush it away and then use a Stampin’ Sponge to get all of the small pieces of the Leafing away.
Adhere the stamped and Gilded Butterfly Brilliance card piece to the front of the Mango Melody CS card base. Adhere the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Basic White CS to the inside of the card base.
Viola! You have a beautiful birthday card to send off to some one special. And you learned 2 Techniques!

This gorgeous butterfly Thank You card is made using the Bleach Technique. I just love how different colors come out after some color is bleached. For this card I used Pretty Peacock Card Stock (CS) and the bleached images appear to be Granny Apple Green!
Preparing the Bleach
The most important part of the Bleaching Technique is to have a good bleach “ink” pad. I used 4 layers of an absorbent paper towel in a Standard Stamp Case and soaked the paper towels with straight household bleach.
Measurements
Measurements: Very Vanilla Card Stock (CS) card base: 4 1/4 x 11 inches with a score line at 5 1/2 inches; Granny Apple Green CS: 4 x 5 1/4 inches; Pretty Peacock CS: 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 inches; and Very Vanilla CS: 1 inch strip.
Stampin with Bleach
Let the stamp sit in the bleach-soaked paper towel for about 10 seconds. Then pat the stamp on that paper towel a few times then place it on the 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 inch Pretty Peacock CS. Leave it sit for about 5 minutes to ensure that the bleach will soak into the paper. If you have too much bleach, let it sit for a shorter period of time.
See the magic when you remove the stamp!
Stamping
I used the “Thank You” sentiment from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and stamped it in Pretty Peacock ink onto the 1 inch Very Vanilla CS strip.
Assemble the Card
Begin to assemble the card by adhering the bleached card piece to the 4 x 5 1/2 inch Granny Apple Green CS. Next adhere that piece to the 4 1/4 x 11 inch Very Vanilla CS card base.
Add the “Thank You” sentiment to the card front.
Viola! That’s all there is to it.
Note: it is only recommended that you use the Bleach Technique on the red rubber stamps, not on the Photopolymer stamps. Be sure to rinse the stamp with a copious amount of water to remove any residual bleach.
Try the Bleach Technique with any of the colors of cardstock and be surprised by the color that comes up after bleaching the paper.
Welcome to Theresa’s Treasures today for Fun Fold Friday. Today’s card is made using the Butterfly Brilliance by Stampin’ Up!® as well as the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper (DSP). The Butterfly Brilliance stamp set is part of the Butterfly Bouquet Suite that will be available for purchase on March 2, 2021. Or if you want yours now, consider joining my Theresa’s Gems Team. More information on the Butterfly Bouquet Suite and how to join at the end of the instructions.
The Fun Fold is the centerpiece for this lovely card. It is super simple!
Measurements
Measurements: Basic White Card Stock (CS) card base: 4 1/4 x 11 inches with a score line at 5 1/2 inches; Bumblebee CS: 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches and 4 x 5 1/2 inches; Basic White CS: 3 3/4 x 5 inches; and Flowers for Every Season DSP: 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches.
Stamping
First we will start by stamping the sentiment “Thinking of You” from the Happy Thoughts stamp set in Memento ink onto the 3 3/4 x 5 inch Basic White CS.
You will also be stamping the Butterfly Brilliance stamp in Memento ink onto a piece of Basic White CS and then coloring the smaller butterflies with the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. The colors I used were: Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie.
Creating the Fun Fold
You will need your Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer for this step. First make a pencil mark at 2 1/8 inches on each side of the 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch Flowers for Every Season DSP.
The next step is to line up the pencil marks so that you can make a score line between them. Rotate until you have score lines on each corner.
The Flowers for Every Season card piece should look like this after you have made all the score lines. Erase the pencil marks.
Next you line up the score line at 3/4 inches and make another score line. Rotate until you have made a second score line all the way around. The end result is pictured on the right.
Now use your Bone Folder to make a crisp fold along all of the outer score lines.
In a similar fashion, fold the inner score lines outward and use the Bone Folder to make a crisp fold. Next, adhere the Fun Fold card piece to the 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch Bumblebee CS.
Putting It All Together
Begin to assemble the parts by adhering the Fun Fold card piece to the sentiment card piece. Then adhere that to the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Bumblebee CS.
To complete the card front, use your Bone Folder to make a crisp fold at the 5 1/2 inch score line on the 4 1/4 x 11 inch Basic White CS card base. Next adhere the completed card piece to the front of the Basic White CS card base.
Finishing Up
In order to give the butterflies a little more dimension, I used my Bone Folder to gently curve the wings of each butterfly.
Add the butterflies to the card front with a Stampin’ Dimensional in the center behind the body of the butterfly.
I wanted my Fun Fold to lie a bit more flat so I added a Mini Glue Dot under the first fold. Tip: It is very easy to move the Mini Glue Dot with the Take Your Pick tool.
Viola! You have made a lovely Fun Fold to let someone know you are thinking of them. I really enjoy making cards. And I enjoy it even more when I mail the card out to someone. Additionally, I enjoy the positive feedback I get from the recipient. Mailing cards is a really great way to spread some joy!
Thank you for coming by today for Fun Fold Friday. I hope you will spend some time making your own card and spreading some joy yourself. We could all use a little more joy!

Hello! I am in love with the Stampin’ Up!® Butterfly Brilliance stamp set! It is so easy to make a great card!
This card is a perfect step up for the Beginner Stamper. It is a technique that I first learned from my friend Karen years ago. I don’t actually know the name of the technique, so if you do know, please leave me a comment.
The Stampin” Up!® Butterfly Brilliance stamp is one single stamp with all these butterflies on it. There is a matching die that cuts out all of the butterflies in one go. The Butterfly Brilliance stamp will be available for purchase starting March 2, 2021 through May 3, 2021. I will post more detailed ordering information below.
Measurements
Measurements: Gorgeous Grape Card Stock (CS) card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches with a score line at 4 1/4 inches; Basic White CS: two at 4 x 5 1/4 inches, 2 1/2 x 4 inches and a 1/2 x 3 inch strip; Daffodil Delight CS: 2 3/4 x 4 1/4 inches.
Stamping
To prepare the card pieces for stamping you will need to use a repositionable, non-permanent adhesive to hold the 2 1/2 x 4 inch Basic White CS in the center of one of the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Basic White CS. An example is the Herma Dotto Repositionable Tape.
The next step is to apply the Memento ink to the stamp. This is a huge stamp! I find it much easier to get the ink on evenly if I flip it upside down and apply the ink. You will stamp over the 2 pieces of card stock. Hold the stamp in place and apply a firm even pressure so that you will not get too much of an unstamped border around the paper in the center. Don’t worry if there is some unstamped border because it will be covered by the Daffodil Delight CS card piece later on.
Next separate the two card pieces and remove the repositionable adhesive. You can remove it easily just by brushing your fingers over it, or use an adhesive eraser.
Now use the Memento ink to stamp the sentiment “a little hello” which is in the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set onto the 1/2 x 3 inch Basic White CS strip.
To finish up the stamping, re-ink the butterfly stamp and stamp at an angle onto the other 4 x 5 1/4 inch Basic White CS.
Coloring
Now for some coloring fun! I used the Stampin’ Write Markers for this, but you could also use the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers if you wish. The Stampin’ Write Markers used were the following colors: Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Purple Posy, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape.
Now some more coloring! Tip: In order to get a smooth color with just one layer, I used the side of the brush tip. Next use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the card piece to the inside of the Gorgeous Grape CS card base. How pretty!
Putting It All Together
Continue to assemble the card by adhering the other 4 x 5 1/4 inch Basic White CS card piece to the front of the Gorgeous Grape CS card base.
Next adhere the 2 1/2 x 4 inch butterfly panel to the 2 3/4 x 4 1/4 inch Daffodil Delight CS. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the butterfly panel to the front of the card.
Prepare the sentiment by cutting the end into a banner. Tip: Make a cut in the center of one side. Next cut from one corner to the top of the center cut. Then cut from the other corner to the top of the center cut.
Finish the card by adhering the sentiment banner as shown.
Viola! You have a gorgeous, interesting card to say “Hello” to someone.
Thank you for visiting Theresa’s Treasures today. I hope you will give this simple technique a try.
