I am Theresa and I am a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator in Arizona, USA. If you do not have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, live in the US, and would like a copy of the catalog, please send a request to my email: theresastreasures.az@gmail.com. I would love to help you get started on stamping and making you own cards!

Making the card-Stamping

The first step in making this card is to stamp all of the leaves from the Love of Leaves stamp set onto Basic White Card Stock (CS). The Stampin’ Up! ink colors for the leaves are: Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody and Cajun Craze. Next stamp the flowers from the Color & Contour stamp set onto Basic White CS. The outline of the flowers is inked in Cajun Craze. The flower color is Mango Melody.

Coordinating Dies

Now you can use the coordinating dies for the Love of Leaves stamp set- the Stitched Leaves Dies. These dies both cut and emboss! You can see the embossed stitching on each of the leaves. The upper edge of the background is embossed with one of the dies in this set.

To make the flowers more 3D, I used the round end of the cap on the Take Your Pick Tool to apply gentle pressure to the back of the flowers. This makes them more puffy.

Arranging the Pieces

Now that you have all the pieces, you can arrange them how you like. First adhere the Mango Melody background onto a Cajun Craze CS card base. Lay the leaves down on the card front first until you like the look. Then add the flowers. Next, adhere everything in place. Add the Genial Gems as desired to the flower center for extra sparkle.

The sentiment is stamped in Cajun Craze ink onto a 1/2 inch Basic White CS strip. Add the sentiment to your card.

Voila! You have a beautiful fall Thank You card! Feel free to decorate the inside of the card too!

Bruno and Kylie Bertucci’s Top 10 International Blog Highlight Winners Hop August 2021- Gorgeous Leaves Thank You

I am so honored and excited to be participating in today’s Top 10 Winners Hop for Bruno and Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights! I thank everyone who voted for my card in that hop. I combined a lot of elements to make this Gorgeous Leaves Thank You card. Saying “Thank you” is so important! You can never have enough Thank You cards. I am so excited to see everyone else’s projects too!

I primarily used the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set and Intricate Leaves Dies. Additional stamp sets used for this card included: Very Versailles (the background script) and Pansy Patch (Thank You sentiment). The label for the sentiment is from the Harvest Dies.

I took full advantage on the many fall colors Stampin’ Up!® has. The colors I used for this card are: Bumblebee, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Cinnamon Cider, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive.

Although they are difficult to see in this photo, the Genial Gems add a little sparkle to the Gorgeous Leaves Thank You card.

Cardz4Guyz Challenge #256 Colors of Autumn/Fall

Welcome Autumn! It is still hot here in Bisbee Arizona, USA but the evenings and early mornings are cooling down a bit. Today is windy and cool. I love the changing leaves. We don’t see too much of that here, but I recently visited Kentucky and Tennessee so I saw a lot of color. So for the Cardz4Guyz challenge #256- color of Autumn/Fall, I wanted to make some falling leaves with different fall colors for my card today.

The Stampin’ Up! colors I used are: Cajun Craze, Calypso Coral, Mango Melody, and Merry Merlot. I used the Gather Together stamp set (in the 2020 Stampin’ Up! August-December Mini Catalog) to make this colorful Fall card.

For the sentiment, I cut a maple leaf with the Gathered Leaves Dies. I sponged some Cajun Craze ink around the edges of the Very Vanilla card stock leaf and stamped the sentiment “Gather Together” in Cajun Craze ink.

The trick with the leaves is that I applied ink to the die, put it on the cardstock and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. The photo on the right shows the leaf with and without using the ink with the die.

Viola! You have a very colorful Autumn card to send to your special guy!

RamZ here loves the leaves too. He appears very happy to be in the leaf pile at my sister’s home. Beautiful golden yellow!

Thanks for stopping by for the Cardz4Guyz Challenge #256- Colors of Autumn/Fall. See more cards with this theme at the Cardz4GuyZ blog by clicking HERE.

Have a wonderful Fall day!

Gather Together this Fall- but Social Distance?

This fall and winter will definitely be challenging if we still need to social distance. How will you and your friends and family “Gather Together”? Will it be online? Will it be in person with everyone standing 6 feet apart and wearing a mask? These are uncertain times for sure. But what is certain is the importance of staying in touch with others. Making and sending handmade cards is a very personal way of staying in touch with your loved ones.

The Gather Together stamp set in the Stampin’ Up! August-December 2020 Mini Catalog has a lot to make some great fall cards.

This wonderful fall card is very quick and straight forward.

Measurements: Very Vanilla Card Stock (CS): 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch card base with a score line at 4 1/4 inches, and 4 x 5 1/4 inches; Cajun Craze CS: 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches; Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP): 2 x 5 1/4 inches; and Terracotta Tile CS: 3 x 3 1/2 inches.

Ink and supplies: Stampin’ Up! Cajun Craze and early Espresso ink, and Memento Black ink. Copper 1/8 inch Metallic Ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack; and Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Stamp the large leaf onto the Terracotta Tile CS in Cajun Craze ink. Note: Remember to use the Stampin’ Pierce Mat or a catalog under the CS so you will get the best image with the Photopolymer Stamp. I cover my Pierce Mat with paper so the paper will absorb any stray ink.

You could use the Paper Snips to fussy cut the leaf or if you have a cutting machine use the Gathered Leaves Dies to cut the leaf out.

Adhere the 2 x 5 1/4 inch Gilded Autumn DSP to the 4 x 5 1/4 inch Very Vanilla CS. Note: I like to use the Tombow Liquid Glue because it gives me a second to straighten out the piece before it sticks.

Stamp the sentiment “Season of Thanks” onto the upper portion of the Very Vanilla CS in Early Espresso ink. This ink takes a little longer to dry than some of the other colors so take care not to smear it. I have smeared it many a time!

Cut two 6 1/2 inch pieces of the Copper 1/8 inch Metallic Ribbon. Adhere the ribbon to the card by applying a Mini Glue Dot to each end. I also put a couple of glue dots under the middle portion of the ribbon to hold it in place.

Adhere the Terracotta Tile leaf and a Copper Metallic Ribbon bow to the card front. Adhere the card front to the 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inch Cajun Craze CS, then adhere the whole piece to the front of the Very Vanilla card base. Tip: Be sure to fold the Very Vanilla card base at the 4 1/4 inch score line by using a Bone Folder. This way you get a nice crisp fold.

The card is currently a very nice card. However, you know me-I want some Bling! The Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels are perfect for this.

To easily transfer the rhinestones from the sheet to the card, use the Take Your Pick tool or a toothpick. Tip: Use an odd number of rhinestones arranged in triangles to achieve a pleasing look.

Viola! You have a wonderful fall card to help you stay in touch with your friends and family this year!

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope this fall and holiday season is memorable for you.

Harvest Blessings

Autumn leaves filling up the street; golden colors on the lawn, natures trick or treat.-Rusty Fischer

I just love the coolness and freshness of fall! With the holidays approaching, it is a great time to stock up on some cards. Here is a card of thanks.

This beautiful fall card is a lot of fun to make because it involves using the Aqua Painter to watercolor the background. I CASE’d this card from one done by Peggy Noe. This card is for the more avid stamper as it uses 3 different stamp sets.

Measurements: Very Vanilla card stock card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch card base scored at 4 1/4 inches and a 3 1/4 x 3/4 inch strip; Pumpkin Pie card stock: 5 1/8 x 3 1/8 inches; Fluid 100 Watercolor paper: 5 x 3 inches. You will also need ribbon from the Gather Together combo pack, Leaves Trinkets and of course an Aqua Painter. This card was made with Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Up! ink.

First you need to use the Aqua Painter to moisten the watercolor paper. Gently squeeze the Aqua Painter until a drop of water comes to the tip of the brush. Now spread water evenly over the watercolor paper. Note: I placed the watercolor paper on my Stampin’ Pierce mat because the first stamp is a Photopolymer. The black paper is just so you can see the watercolor paper better.

Stamp the wheat bundle in Cajun Craze onto the moist watercolor paper. The more water on the paper, the more blurred the image will be. Note: The wheat bundle is from the Stampin’ Up! Gather Together stamp set.

Continue to stamp around the edge. Use the Aqua Painter again to smear the ink a little and add color to the rest of the watercolor paper.

Take the paper off the Stampin’ Pierce mat because the next stamp is red rubber. Keeping the watercolor paper moist, stamp the flower bunch in Pumpkin Pie ink around the edge of the watercolor paper. Note: The flower is from the Stampin ‘ Up! Healing Hugs stamp set.

Use the Aqua Painter to smear the Pumpkin Pie color onto the rest of the watercolor paper. Let dry or use a heat tool to expedite the drying process.

Clean the Aqua Painter by squeezing out water onto a paper towel until it runs clear.

Stamp the sentiment “Happy Harvest Blessings” in Cajun Craze. Note: This sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! Country Home stamp set.

Use your paper snips to cut a banner end on the left hand side. Tip: Start with a center cut, then cut from one corner to the center and repeat on the other side.

Use the bone folder to make a crisp fold at the 4 1/4 score line on the Very Vanilla card base.

Adhere the dried watercolor paper onto the 5 1/8 x 3 1/8 inch Pumpkin Pie card piece. Flip over to rub on the back of the piece to ensure the adhesive sticks and you don’t smear the ink.

Apply a glue dot to the ribbon by pressing the ribbon onto the roll. Put a glue dot on each end.

Line up the ribbon on the front, then flip over and press to adhere the glue dots.

Use the Cajun Craze colored twine to tie around the card and make a bow slightly to the left of center. Adhere this piece to the Very Vanilla card base.

Apply Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment. Tip: I cut my Dimensionals in half to make them last longer.

Position the sentiment on the bottom right hand side of the stamped piece. Use glue dots to adhere the Leaves Trinkets just under the bow.

Tip: Pick up a glue dot with a Pierce tool and apply it to the card front behind the trinkets. This will stabilize the bow and Trinkets so they do not flop around.

And there you have a beautiful fall card!
