Cardz4Guyz Challenge #252 Explore Outdoors

When I was growing up in New Mexico, my parents would take us camping frequently- all 8 us. We had a huge canvas tent that was blue and yellow- not very inconspicuous. We went all over New Mexico and I have many fond memories. This card reminds me of those campouts, minus the blue and yellow tent, and is perfect for the Cardz4Guyz challenge to Explore Outdoors.

The stamp set I used is the Stampin’ Up! Campology which is in the Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. I stamped the images in Memento ink and colored with the Stampin’
Blends Alcohol Markers. The colors I used are: Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Gray Granite, Smokey Slate, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, So Saffron and Poppy Parade.

Inside the card I stamped a coffee pot and mug. I just love the smell of the campfire and the feeling I get when drinking a hot cup of coffee early in the morning while camping.

I hope you enjoyed my card. Go by the Cardz4Guyz blog and see other cards from this Challenge #252 Explore Outdoors.

Thanks for stopping by. I really enjoy participating in these challenges. I have often struggled with making a nice masculine card. The Cardz4Guyz Challenges help give me new ideas and inspiration!

Happy crafting!

I love having time now to create and craft, so much so that I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I have been a demonstrator more than 5 years and am having a blast! Not only do I get to craft, I meet new friends from all over the world! Crafting gives me something positive to do and to share with others. I love to have my monthly Zoom Card Making Classes so others can craft with me. I have so much fun creating the cards for others to make! My blog was initially geared toward the beginner stamper in order to help others get started stamping on their own at home. If you need information to get started, look for my first blogs. 1. Love the card! I have two boys and they are in Boy Scouts along with their father who is the Scout Master, they go camping once a month along with their Troop even in the snow and below 0 weather. I would love to get the Measurements for the card.

    1. I am so honored that you love my card. I also have a son who is an Eagle Scout and now an Assistant Scout Master. They camp all year round too. The Mossy Meadow card stock card base is 4 1/4 x 11 inches with a score line at 5 1/2 inches. The layer with the tent on it is 4 x 5 1/4 inches and is Whisper White card stock. The lantern layer is an Olive Green card stock at 2 1/8 x 4 1/8 inches with a Whisper White card stock layer on top measuring 2 x 4 inches. It is adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The inside of the card is a layer of Whisper White card stock at 4 x 5 1/4 inches. All the images are stamped in Memento Black ink and colored with the Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers. The sentiments are stamped in Night of Navy. If you need any further instructions, let me know and I can send photos. If you are in need of a Demonstrator to get your supplies, I would be happy to do that for you too. Enjoy!
