Peaceful Poppies for Gratitude

Hello! I hope you all enjoyed a long weekend for President’s Day. My family and I went to the local Renaissance Festival and had a great time. I am so grateful for my family and for fun activities!

Because I try to practice gratitude, I am always in need of a thank you note. This one is very quick and simple!

This thank you card is made using the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies and the Peaceful Moments stamp sets which are available in the 2020 Mini Catalog. Items in this catalog are available until March 31, 2020 (unless they run out).

Measurements: Whisper White card stock (CS) 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches scored at 4 1/4 inches for the card base and 3 3/4 x 3 inches; and Basic Black CS 3 7/8 x 3 1/8 inches. Yes, only 3 pieces of paper!

First I used some sticky note tape to cover the bottom 1 1/2 inches of the 3 3/4 x 3 inch piece of Whisper White CS. This is a masking technique. You will need Memento ink.

Stamp the field of poppies onto the Whisper White CS. Let dry before removing the sticky note tape.

Use a ruler and the fine tip of the Stampin’ Write Basic Black marker to draw a line under the field of poppies.

Stamp the “Thank You” sentiment in the Memento ink in the center of the bottom half.

Use the Light and Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers to color the poppies.

Fold the 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch Whisper White card base at the 4 1/4 inch score line. Use the Bone Folder to make the fold nice and crisp.

Adhere the stamped card piece to the 3 7/8 x 3 1/8 inch Basic Black CS.

Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the Basic Black CS.

Adhere the Basic Black card piece to the Whisper White card base in the center of the front panel.

Now for some fun! The Whisper White 1/4 inch Crinkled Seam binding can be colored to any color with the Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers. I used the Dark Poppy Parade marker.

I just placed the ribbon on some scrap paper and colored it.

Tie a bow and adhere it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

Now for some Bling! The are Peaceful Poppy Sequins! Place a small dot of Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue where you would like to place the sequins. You could also try a Glue Dot.

And Viola! you have a really nice, simple and quick Thank You card!

Please leave me a comment and let me know how I am doing. Thank you for following my blog. I could not be successful without you!
